Uncle Tony's Hale is located in the heart of Maui where west and east Maui meet...10 to 20 minute drive to stunning beaches. We have a cute spacious 324 sq. ft. studio apartment in Maui. Modern a tropical décor theme, with a comfortable 2 twin-size bed, a small kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, cookware, utensils, hot plate, skillet, toaster, rice cooker and coffee maker. Enough to cook small meals (no oven or stove just a hot plate) Private modern bathroom with a shower. Large windows bring warm Hawaiian breeze with views of Mauna Kahālāwa the West Maui Volcano also known as the west Maui mountains. Amenities include air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and smart TV 2 assigned free parking stalls. The best place to call home when wanting to explore all sides of the island. Only 10 minutes to the airport and 9 minutes to the famous Iao needle. For those budget guests we provide a queen deluxe blow up mattress available for 2 additional guests. Operated by a long time local Kamaaina family.

A great budget option

The location is perfect: close to everything central, yet out of the way and very quiet at night. Parking was easy. The apartment was efficient and extremely clean. Although we didn't use the "kitchen" it appeared to have everything one would need to prepare small meals. The shower, in particular, was very pleasant. The air conditioner worked well and was as quiet as such a thing can be. There are two bar stools. Ideally, we would have liked a chair with a back. All in all, it was definitely a positive experience and we would stay there again.

Nice little place

Second-floor walk-up, twin beds. Very clean and cozy, all amenities were in good shape. The room is on a busy street, but road noise was minimal with the A/C on. Very good value for money.

Uncle Tony and his staff are incredibly helpful. The units are spotless and have everything you could need. The location is very central and a super short drive from the airport. The price is reasonable and they are super accommodating and easy to deal with. I would highly recommend staying at Uncle Tony’s. I hope to go back!

The area is in the old part of Maui so you need a car to get around. It is located near many nice areas and wonderfull beaches. Uncle Tony and the staff are so welcoming and efficient. They have a lot if beach stuff at your disposal chairs, cooler, small surf boards. Room was perfect and communication was excellent.

The units are very, very clean. Uncle Tony and the other employees are very nice and helpful. The little kitchenette is stocked with everything you may need, including plug-in skillets and griddles, coffee maker, cups, dishes and utensils. Located in an industrial area but very centrally located to airport, shopping. Price is comparable to low end hotels that are not as nice. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful room. Very clean. We met the owner/manager and he was great! Very helpful and friendly. There's a laundry facility with brand new machines on site. Only negative is the area the hotel is in. Bit rough.

I am a long-time Kamaaina “local” and have many of my Ohana “family” that live all throughout the Hawaiian islands. I help run a family owned Lodging in Maui. I am married to a beautiful wife raising five kids that were all born and raised on the islands. I am very fortunate and appreciative to live in this beautiful place and to be able to afford the high cost of living here. You'll be surprised that compared to many major American cities, the cost of living in Maui is comparable or higher. The most expensive thing about Maui is the rent and real estate. We are in the top ten most expensive places to live. We are very grateful for you supporting our small Ohana "family" business by choosing us for your next lodging, during your visit to Maui.

Recently renovated, we are located within an ideal vicinity to all major tourist destinations around the island of Maui. This is a great place to call home based on your visit because of its central location. Only 10 minutes to Kahului airport (OGG) and the closest beach. No, we cannot hear the planes, being this close to the airport. We are behind a mountain and are not under the plane's flight path.

What makes this property unique

Our guests have the awesome opportunity to live on the local side of the island that most tourists never really experience. True Hawaii, where the locals reside. Sharing local eateries and providing real local Aloha from a small local Maui family, we hope we will be a place some visitors would like to experience. Our main guests are outer island local families and that lucky special few who can find us.
