What makes this condo unique

5 miles of uncrowded beach, whale watching in Maalaea Bay which is the Humpback Whale calving and breeding grounds during the winter months (November through April) right in front of the property! Ocean swimming, boogie boarding and surfing (during south swells), and windsurfing! The Pacific Whale foundation is a 10 minute walk from the property so you can walk to your whale watch tour, or take educational classes without a car! Their is a charming local store called 'Tradewinds' 5 minutes by foot, for local meat, fruits and vegetables, liquor. Their fruit cup is a must!

The condo was terrific all around! We were very pleased! This was our fifth time renting in the Maalea Bay area and it was overall the best!

Immediately we loved the view out on the lanai. Loved watching the turtles and whales.

Overall, everything we needed was in the condo. Loved the location for easy access to harbor, Kihei and Lahaina. I didn’t find the master bed very comfortable, but I’m pretty picky about beds. We would definitely recommend this condo and the whole complex to friends and family. 4.5 stars.

Clean, comfortable and glorious view

We enjoyed our week stay in this unit. Glorious updated guest room with an suite bath. Beautiful setting for master bedroom.

What would make the stay even better would have been curtains in the living area or a rolled screen on the lanai and clothes dressers in master bedroom. The kitchen did not come with coffee filters which would have been a nice touch. The cabinets had far too many glasses and dishes which limited the space for food storage. These are easy fixes to make this unit a five star,

Owner's Response: Very happy to hear that this guests stay was clean (we work hard to make sure our condos are immaculate and that is what our company is known for), comfortable. They are right the view is glorious! The owner's of this condo recently purchased it and have made some very nice improvements to enhance guests stay and will be addressing on their next visit. We will pass these suggestions on to them and do what we can on our end to remedy some of those items mentioned. The condo is on the 5th floor so privacy is not an issue but maybe for particular times of the year the sun does brighten the space in the morning. The coffee filters however were our over site, we do provide those but must have forgotten to put them in. We would have gladly brought them over if we had known. :-) Our goal really is that all guests have a happy stay

Breathtaking Ocean Views!

This condo was perfect for my family and I. The two bedrooms are so separated from one another for ultimate privacy. Sleeping to the sound of ocean waves and waking up to a stunning sunrise every morning was pure bliss. The location was perfect. It was a quick 5 minute walk to a gentle beach that was great for my 2 year old and for snorkeling! Also within walking distance to multiple activities such as whale watching, dinner cruise, the marine center, and a few restaurants. To be honest though we saw more whales and sea turtles straight from our lanai! I have zero complaints about our 10 day stay at island Sands! Mahalo!

Best View Loved the Location!

We Loved it!!! Beautiful View! Loved the quiet location! I loved have all the comforts of home that you don’t get in a Resort! Would DEFINITELY Recommend and will Definitely stay there again!! Super clean unit and loved the Beach our front and just down the road had awesome snorkeling!

Condo is right on the ocean less than 10 steps to the water’s edge if you could walk off of the 5th floor lanai! Fabulous wide open ocean view! Just a short stroll to the longest beach on Maui, (5 miles of sugary golden sand!). Within walking distance to restaurants from casual to fine dining, Maui Aquarium, public transportation and family sports center that features; (mini golf, water bumper boats, extreme trampoline and rock climbing) gas, shopping and the harbor!
