This creekside cabin is right on the water. It has a sister cabin next door that is also a 3/2. This one has has 2 queen size beds in the loft and 2 queen bedrooms on the main floor. Enjoy the fire pit next to the water while sitting under the stars. Come spend some time in the mountains with us. There is always something to do. We know you will love it here as much as we do. There is no cell service at this cabin, but you can make wifi calls.

Creek was wonderful, mount a un view was beautiful. Cabin was nice. Yard maintenance could be improved but overall everything was fine. Would stay again.

The cabin was nice and quiet, had everything we needed to cook and grill out. The WiFi is very weak and in order to watch tv which is only streamed via Roku no other devices could be on it. We had zero cell service so we were very secluded. Satellite internet may need to be thought about. Overall it was a great weekend

The cabin is beautiful, clean, and quiet. It is a perfect get away. The only thing to be aware of is that there is no internet service as advertised, and no cell service. If you are looking to be off the grid, this is the place. However, if you need to be reachable, this may not work for you.

We loved the property but I wish we had better reception. We could not stream movies on Netflix or use our cell phones until the second day when someone came to install starlink. But that was only enough to call and text. The internet was not strong enough. The pressure in the first floor bathroom was strong but there was barely enough in the second floor shower. So 7 people had to take turns showering on the first floor. I wish they supplied more trashbags. The floor was very dirty as well. So we had to wear socks the whole time. Other than that, the property was beautiful and peaceful. For the price, it was not too bad.

We had a wonderful stay at the Duck cabin in Hiawassee! The home was comfortable, the setting was beautiful, and we truly enjoyed our time there. We would definitely consider staying again.There are just a few maintenance items that could use some attention to make the experience even better for future guests. The living room ceiling fan was not working, and the overhead light in the first-floor bedroom was missing the pull string needed to turn it on. The ceiling fans on the back porch also were not working. The first-floor bathroom door drags and is difficult to open and close, and housekeeping had not left toilet paper in that bathroom when we arrived. Upstairs, the bathroom faucet aerator/filter may need to be cleaned, as the water sprays in different directions and can easily get your clothes wet.These were all relatively minor things and certainly didn’t keep us from enjoying our stay. With a little maintenance, this cabin would be even better. We had a lovely visit to Hiawassee and appreciated having such a nice place to call home during our trip!

Wonderful getaway

This trip included me, my husband, our 2 children (19 & 22) and my husbands parents. We enjoyed our stay. The listing was as described and the owner was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly. The creek in the back was absolutely amazing. Would definitely book again if we find ourselves in that area.

Beautiful and Peaceful

It was everything we wanted. Peace and quiet. Sitting by the fire and listening to the creek was just what we needed. The cabin had everything we needed. Kitchen was equipped nicely and beds very comfortable. Will definitely be back.

Awesome Relaxing Getaway

Once we found out how to get in the cabin it was fantastic. Very peaceful and convenient location to anything you’d want to do outdoors. Enjoyed campfire every night, cooking out and exploring the area of Lake Chatuge. Beautiful scenery and cabin was well supplied for all your cooking needs with plenty of utensils and cooking gear. Woke up one morning to large deer running down the creek… Beautiful… Enjoyed sitting on the porch and by the campfire being soothed by the sounds of the bubbling creek. We will definitely be returning for future getaways…. Do yourself a favor and book it…

Peaceful

Everything went well with the booking. We got to the cabin about an hour after check in to find that the cabin had not been cleaned. We contacted the office, they apologized and tried to find us a different place. Didn’t have one available for seven guest. They said they would contact the cleaners and get them to come back. After a few minutes they called and said they could not contact her but would send someone out to clean it. On their arrival they apologized and went straight to work cleaning. We finally got moved in around 7:30 to a very clean cabin. They were very nice and did a great job. Some of the bulbs were out of the light fixtures and the lamps didn’t work in a few places. All in all we did enjoy our trip very much and would come again if possible. It does need new bedroom lamps and more mirrors in the bedrooms and maybe in the hallway. A little update and it would get a 10 from us!

Snow capped Mountains and cows

Pros first: Thank you for having a Christmas tree up for us and decorating. It was so nice to walk in and being able to put all the gifts under the tree for my family and having the wood burning stove was a nice touch for having the Country Christmas I dreamed of. The beds were very comfortable. I love cows and the pasture in front and behind the cabin has lots of cows. It was nice to look out of the window and see them. You can see mountians from every direction. We made a fire outside every night even when it was lightly snowing. The sky was filled with stars that I don't get to see in the city. Cons: wood burning stove is very small. It was almost impossible to get 2 logs in at once and struggled to get one in. I considered buying and axe to cut the logs smaller. I'm surprised that wood was not provided, except for the first bundle. I bought so much wood and left a a couple of bundles for inside and out that I couldn't use. I asked ahead about a griddle. One wasn't there so I packed up my own. And I am truly grateful that there was a washer/dryer on the property it was inconvenient to have to manage the use between ourselves, the neighbors and the cleaning lady BUT I'd take that over not having one at all.

The property was so peaceful and charming. Everything was clean and simple. Communication was great and our time in the creek was exactly what I’d hoped for. Sitting on the back porch listening to the water flow by was just magical. Would definitely stay here again!

We rented this for a fishing trip on the river and it was perfect for the location we went. The plus was the comfort and quietness of the cabin. It was far more spacious than expected and had all of the amenities we needed. I would definitely come back
