Every September, my husband and I—along with our two dogs—head up North for our annual getaway. This year, we ventured to a new area, and we’re so glad we did. Pine Cone Cottage turned out to be the perfect retreat. The cabin was spotless and cozy, ideally located near great spots for hiking and shopping. The hosts were incredibly responsive and checked in to ensure we were enjoying our stay. We wholeheartedly recommend it!

Cozy Cabin!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was updated in decor and amenities but still had a cozy cabin feel to it. ATV trail access was close which was our reason for traveling to this area. We stayed in February, but would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake!

Long Weekend in the Woods with Family!

We were quite happy to find a great place to stay with the additional "bunk house" apartment. With three 19 yr olds - they were so happy to have that space to themselves! The water was warm and clear, we brought enough food to feed an army and really had a great time.

Great place to stay with the family!

This is a great place! Quiet, clean, organized, and overall an excellent experience. I rented the property with my daughter, son in law, and 2 boys 6 and 2. The heated garage was fun to let the kids run, the apartment above the garage was perfect for me, and the house was perfect for my daughter and family. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

Lake access a bonus

As this was our 12th annual WI vacation, we were all familiar with other sites. As we discussed it, it was decided that access to the lake and the pontoon were valuable to our group. They also thought the paddle boards and kayak were grreat, and we’re hoping to vacation there again next year.

Quiet Escape in the Woods

What a cute cabin! It’s very nicely redone, new furniture, beds, all the way to the large stainless frig. Lori has thought of everything you may need from blankets to s’more’s supplies. The location was near our destination - as we were in town for a memorial service - was far enough out that we were able to enjoy the woods & the quietness of nothing after our family events. Highly recommend.

We fell in love the moment you walk in! So cozy and comfortable anywhere you choose to be.. living room, sunroom, garage, outdoors, guest suite.. Just situated perfectly! Makes for easy conversation and socializing. SO many area activities nearby in Spooner, Hayward, Rice Lake and more!

What makes this property unique

Love that the home has a main cabin that sleeps 4, also a Guest Suite that can accommodate another 4. Great for 2 families or 2 couples with kiddos. Private 105 Acre Lake. No public landing for motorized boats, just carry on kayaks, canoes and similar. Only motorized boats on the lake would be from the owners living on the lake that launched from their own properties. Great fishing spots!
