On Ithaca's South Hill, overlooking Cayuga Lake, apartment sleeps six with spacious rooms. Back yard is Ithaca College, one mile to Cornell, and less than one mile to Ithaca's downtown Commons. Minutes to parks, hiking, lakefront and many waterfalls. Three separate sleeping areas with private bedroom, convertible sitting room/second bedroom, and large living room parlor with organ and sleeper sofa. Large kitchen and bath, private laundry room with new washer and dryer. Park outside your door and patio. Helpful host lives in main house and is available if needed, but privacy is also guaranteed.

Everything was just as described and the location was very convenient to so much. The apartment was comfortable with plenty of space and a nice full kitchen within which to cook and not feel cramped. My husband and I enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay

Clean, quaint apartment located inside a historic property. The owner was very nice and I appreciated the updated kitchen and new washer and dryer. Close to Ithaca and Cornell.

Lovely place, perfect location, great stay!

This place was perfect for our graduation weekend stay! The location was great and we avoided all traffic getting to the Cornell ceremonies! Kitchen and bathroom were very nice. As a family of four adults this apartment met all of our needs.

Wonderful Stay

We stayed for Ithaca College graduation. Denise was super kind. House was clean, comfortable with easy parking and perfectly located on the edge of campus. I wish we had found it sooner.

Perfect Location for Lots of Activities

Denice was incredibly kind and accommodating! Her location was great for us to visit wineries, go to Sunset Grill, and walk both the Ithaca College and Cornell Campus!

Lovely Accommodation

We just finished our stay in Ithaca and were so pleased with everything. The property is lovely and was extremely well located close to Ithaca College. Our host Denice was so kind and available whenever we needed her. She also is very knowledgeable about the area and offered some terrific suggestions. I highly recommend this property and we hope to stay again next year.

What a great find!

The apartment was very comfortable, with a lovely view of the lake. Denise was a wonderful hostess and very accommodating as we added my in-laws to our group soon before our trip. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice.

Great location, great homeowner

This is a perfect location for IC families! Short and scenic walk to campus. There is also an entrance to a recreational trail 1/4 mile from the house. Rooms are spacious and kitchen is lovely and complete with amenities. We really enjoyed meeting the homeowner. She is warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable about the area.

Denice operated the property as a bed and breakfast for over twenty years. She is now a retired writer. Born locally, she knows the area and is a resource of information. She also publishes for the wine and brew industries and can provide guidance for wine touring.

Why they chose this property

If you are needed to access the Ithaca area, you couldn't be more centrally located. Everything you came to the Finger Lakes for is right here in town, including waterfalls and gorge walks. Or use as a home base for the other lakes, wine trails, and attractions. Three large rooms, plus bedroom and bath, allows plenty of space to relax or work whether you are solo or multiples. The older home is tastefully appointed. Full large kitchen, large bath, and new laundry facility offer rare perks. And the view from the living room will surprise and delight.

What makes this property unique

Location, location, location. Space, cooking kitchen, and views. All the conveniences of home (except a doorman)! I have always loved the perch here, gazing out over the Commons to the lake, or looking right at the Cornell central campus. I feel like I'm not missing a thing, even if I'm stuck home in yucky weather.
