About this property

NO CLEANING FEES.
We lived in this house for over 20 years. This is not "just a rental", it is our home, and we maintain it and manage it ourselves from cleaning to taking care of the yard and pool is all done by ourselves the owners.
Our home is at the foothills of the Sandia Mountains. It is located about a five minute drive to the Tramway (cable-car), and walking distance to hiking trails and walking/biking paths that go for miles.
If you are not the "outdoorsy" type, our home has anything you need to relax and still enjoy. From Patio with a Kamado Joe grill (Green Egg?), a brand new backyard, Pool and beach chairs for the summer, a nice deck with a swing chair for the summer to avoid the sun, and fire pit and heaters to enjoy during winter. Coffee and Wine allowed all year round in this area...!
Want to or need to work remote? Not one but two office spaces. One with printer, two monitors and anything you need to be productive while on "vaca/staca/tion". You even have an under desk eliptical to move your legs while you work. I wouldn't call it excersise but....
Wake up to the sound of birds, relax by the pool, enjoy the "Sandia" (Watermelon) colour of the mountains by sunset and experience the best Albuquerque has to offer!
Plus, as extremely great hosts we are, we are available all the time and less than 10 minutes away if you need us!

Pleasant stay

The house was nice and had that New Mexico vibe. Property managers were very attentive to any needs. Excellent communication. There were a few quirks with lights, doors being on voice control, so it took a little time to get used to. The queen bed had a therepuedic mattress. The twin bed in the other room was a little smaller than I was used to. So if you are a larger person it may be a problem. We did not use the pool, but did enjoy the back yard and patio.

Originally from Argentina with over 20 years living in Albuquerque, and wife, Carla, from Kansas, raised in NM. I am a Software Consultant who was lucky to do what I love, which is traveling! Due to work I was able to work and live in several countries during the last 25 years from US to Canada, to Europe and South America. Carla on the other hand is a nurse with a very successful career in NM and in the VA Hospitals. Currently working at the Long Beach, CA VA hospital remote. I am a very social person and love learning about different places and cultures. Therefore, I can offer the same to people visiting Albuquerque, "the heart of the SW". Carla has some Navajo roots and enjoys explaining how their communities are and how they manage to share their land!

Why they chose this property

My neighborhood is really beautiful and safe. It is called Glenwood Hills and It is at the hills of the Sandia Mountains. Very close to nature but without being rural. We are still in a city and we have almost everything a big city has to offer....except professional sports 😥

What makes this property unique

Our property seats in a .70 Acre in a very quiet cul-de-sac. With a pool and a better than average space for a backyard in Albuquerque that we finished remodeling this year 2023. You will love our Patio, Pool, and concrete pad to relax. This, in addition to a beautiful deck where you can avoid the Sun and enjoy the montain views will having a coffee or a glass of wine (Malbec from Argentina recommended).
