If the 'camping' you enjoy most includes plush carpeting, cable TV, WiFi, full kitchen and a comfortable king sized bed, and if your idea of 'rustic' means a view of majestic mountains out your many-windowed living room, then you will enjoy being a guest at our Rocky Top Vacation Home Rental.
Our modern log housekeeping 'cabin' offers the cozy comfort of all wood interiors and comfortable furnishings. Private BBQ grill and picnic table allows you to enjoy outdoor dining, and gliding cedar porch chairs are a comfortable alternative to 'sittin' round a campfire'.
The first floor contains the kitchen, living/dining, bedroom with king bed and bathroom. The upper floor has a bedroom with king bed and another full bathroom.
The kitchen is equipped with full sized electric range, full sized refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, and all the dishes, pots, pans, etc. that you should need. Towels and linens are provided, too.
We have a lovely, private setting, but are still convenient to town, being 1/4 mile north of the town limits - close enough to walk to restaurants and stores, but far enough to be 'away from it all', with the Crystal Lake Trail as close as your back door.
Haven't been to Lake City? Well, if the Colorado vacation you dream about includes a remote, historic mountain town nestled in a valley of breathtaking mountains, clear alpine lakes and gurgling streams, then you won't be disappointed with Lake City. Founded as a mining town in the 1870's, and now a Colorado Historic District, Lake City is considered one of the undiscovered gems of the Rockies. Located at the junction of two scenic byways, it remains surprisingly unspoiled by commercialism and 'glitz'. It is a jeep -lovers and flyfishing-lovers paradise, as well as shops, restaurants, movie theater, live theater and concerts, museum, and did I mention mountains?? We have 5 '14ers' right here in our county!

Wonderful cozy cabin, great experience
The cabin it self was amazing, loved it very homey and cozy. Only thing we didn't like is that the closes town is about an hour or more away depending on weather. But overall had a wonderful experience very beautiful. And the renters very nice.
Clean, comfortable and quiet.
The new owners at Rocky Top are great folks, and are doing a great job keeping up with things. Can't recommend them enough.
Excellent cabin in the funnest town in North America
I stayed at Rocky Top Cabins for a week in August 2017 with my son. We had a great time in Lake City. The cabin is exactly as advertised.
The owners live on the property and are available if you need anything or have any questions. I was working remotely one of the days and the internet went down (as happens anywhere sometimes). I sent a quick text to the owner - she rebooted it within 30 minutes, and I was up and running again. Definitely recommend!
great place ,wonderful hospitality
Well equipped, very much enjoyed the stay ,very hospitable owners ,would definitely come back
Great stay in a clean and comfortable cabin
Our second stay in this cozy two bedroom, two bath cabin. Very clean and recently updated. Extremely comfortable beds. Close to town and restaurants, this cabin is our favorite place to stay while visiting Lake City. Very nice owners.
Very nice place
Thank you Aimee for a great stay. The cabin was very nice, well maintained, & cozy. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen had pretty much anything I needed. The only thing I might have changed...since there is a coffee maker, it would have been nice if there coffee filters. Rocky Top will definitely be on my "go-to" list for accommodations in the future in Lake City.
Hi Jennifer, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and it was nice to meet you. I apologize there were no coffee filters, we usually keep a supply in the cabinet. Hope to see you again!
Fly fishing, jeeping, ATVing, history, the most gorgeous mountains you can imagine, these are the things people come to Lake City to experience. And the Arts Center, with live theater, an old-time cinema (that plays modern movies, no less), and an old fashioned soda fountain, are great entertainment, too. Lake City also has a nice walking path that meanders along the river. But for those with the energy and desire to do so, the mountain climbing (5 '14ers' to climb!) is unsurpassed.
