Red Cliff Guest House is a very unique property providing 3,4 or 7 bedrooms. The beautiful 4900 sq ft Main House sleeps 10 people. The 1800 sq ft Guest Unit accommodates 6 guests. This property is perfect for a large family gathering, corporate retreat, wedding party, golf outing, or ski vacation. The property is beautifully furnished. The Main House 1st floor features a family room with a gas fireplace, a large LCD television and DVD player, a large sectional leather couch, and a table for cards and board games. The game room is adjacent to the family room and has a bar area, a foosball table, and a ping pong/ air hockey/ pool combination table. A queen bedroom and full bath are off the game room. The 2nd floor has a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with a wrap around bar that is the perfect spot to socialize as it is adjacent to an expansive living room and deck. Large skylights brighten the living room area. Another large LCD television with DVD provides for a second entertainment area. The beautiful library is ideal for relaxing and reading a book at the end of a busy day. Two bedrooms, a full bath and a half bath complete the 2nd floor. The 3rd floor houses a King Master Suite with fireplace and Jacuzzi. The Guest Unit has three bedrooms and two baths. It is just a short walk along the driveway, or over a direct path that leads to the Main House. Both units have one bedroom with twin or trundle beds that would accommodate children or young adults. A Pack N Play is available upon prearrival request. Laundries are located in both the Main House and Guest Unit. There are multiple decks for morning coffee or late afternoon cocktails or just relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the Red Cliffs of the Animas Valley. The views are amazing, and the location is the best - approximately halfway between town and Durango Mountain Resort ski area (Purgatory to the locals). Pets may be allowed, please inquire. You will be located minutes away from fantastic golf at Dalton Ranch. Rafting, biking, hiking, hot springs, casual to fine dining are all a short drive away. This property has the perfect Colorado atmosphere. You will feel right at home as soon as you walk thru the front door. RENT EITHER HOUSE OR THE ENTIRE PROPERTY. It was a beautiful place, in a beautiful setting. It is close to town, but still a private place. It housed our group of 11 very comfortably. Was close to many attractions to keep everyone entertained.

Family Vacation

We had 14 total in our group. We stayed the last week of July. The space was perfect for our family! The chuck wagon Bar D Wranglers are so close we were practically neighbors! We enjoyed their show as well! We loved our time in Durango and this little home was the perfect end to the long days of adventuring.

The actual amount of space was amazing. The location made it easy to get back into Durango. The game room area was nice for all to enjoy. Outside decks very enjoyable. Huge kitchen and well supplied. Even checkout was easy. Nice way to end a 50th anniversary celebration and gathering.

We had a great time here. Both houses were very clean, well appointed, and in a great location. 10 min from downtown and on the way up to the slopes. Very secluded, can’t even see the neighbors! We had a group of 10 (adults/teens) and no problem with space. Had a couple bedrooms to spare even!

Awesome location! Beautiful and Spacious!

This was the best place that we have stayed on a ski trip. It is hard to find a place to accommodate 3 families that include 8 teenagers. It is spacious and has everything you need to cook meals, watch TV, play games, hike or just relax. The location is convenient for going to Durango and the ski resort. The layout of the house is perfect and very comfortable. We will be back this time next year!

Perfect location and roomy for large group!

This was our second year in this house! We love it and will return. Great location between Durango and Pugatory ski resort. There are three family all with 2-3 teenage kids that stay in the second house while the adults stay in the main house. It is clean and roomy with beautiful views. I watched a deer walking through 2 feet of snow outside the bathroom window while I soaked in the huge bathtub. Worth the drive from Texas!

Our week at Red Cliff Guest House was amazing! Spacious and beautiful, just outside of Durango, was a week of Heaven. We star gazed in the evening, watched a herd of elk at edge of property, and loved every minute of our stay! John was excellent and made communication so easy!! Sure hope to be back someday!!

Discounts on ski/snowboard rentals available. Also group discount at Trimble Hot Springs and Rapp's Guide Service on horseback and sleigh rides. Who to raft with, horseback ride with and great golf spots. If you are looking for a casual dining spot or a nice dinner for you and you spouse I know where to go. I have traveled all over the country and you really cannot find a better spot than Durango.

The homes are really set up perfectly for a vacation. The gameroom is a perfect addition to house so there is plenty to do while relaxing at houses. The guest house is just perfect for the larger groups. And the location is the crowning jewel. No neighbors next door. Incredible views and short drive to town and to ski resort. HOMES CAN BE RENTED SEPERATLY
