This 58m2 elegant loft was designed by an architect. It offers a rare combination of advantages:

• A perfect location: rue du Dragon, in the middle of the 6th arrondissement (metro saint Sulpice 1mn).

• 3 windows, tall and large bathes the apartment in light

• wooden beams and floor in a 17th century building

• a delicate decoration and designed “Le Corbusier” furniture

• a Mezzanine allows a 3rd guest for short stays

The apt door is to be found on 3rd floor (French Standard) after passing through the 17th century building private courtyard and having climbed the ancient stairs.

A short widening corridor leads to the spacious living area. Ceiling is very high and the 3 tall windows bathe the room in light. The wooden floor and beams give a warm feeling. Finally, the famous comfortable black leather ”Le Corbusier” armchair and sofa, delicate Chinese antics collected by the owner give the final elegant touch..

The small mezzanine, right near the windows, can sleep 1 guest for short stays. Under the mezzanine, one finds a working area.

The bedroom area is open in the living room. The comfortable double bed folds up vertically in a closet. It can be fold and unfolded with one hand. The mechanism is very well balanced.

A small corridor with a large wardrobe leads from bedroom to the bathroom. The bathroom is decorated with green tiles and has a window to receive sun light. It is equipped with a bath tub with shower. Toilets and washer are in the next room.

On the right side of the entrance corridor is the kitchen fully equipped with oven, refrigerator, stoves and a dish washer.

As a bonus, Phone calls to land lines in France, and to US, Canada and Australia are generally free. It is also true for more than 50 countries. Moreover, calls to cell phones towards specific countries (often US & Canada) may also be free. Ask us for detail as it may vary with time and policies of operators.

This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It stays 15 minute by subway to most interesting Paris locations AND is a very charming and restful area to be appreciated after a whole day shopping and walking through museums.

Neighborhood :

• The Saint Germain area is very lively and full of restaurants, cafés, cinemas and trendy shops. The art Galleries of Rue de Seine are very close. One reaches the Eglise Saint Sulpice, and Eglise de Saint Germain des Pres in 2 minutes. And there is even a supermarket to conveniently buy food, which is not always easy inside Paris.

• Last but not least, if you have kids, the Luxembourg garden is walking distance (3mn walk).

• This location is a perfect base to visit Paris. It is very central. There are 3 subway stations at walking distance.

We take care of the advertising of apartments, the reservation process from payments to security deposit refund; and even the cleaning and the maintenance of the apartment.

We selected this property because of its great location close to Sèvres Babylone, Luxembourg, Bon Marché, Saint Germain and the apartment design & comfort.

It is the main residence of the owner. He rents when going to his secondary residence. For a guest, renting a main residence is a warranty of high quality : it is always maintained at top level. Obvioulsy, the owner puts away personal belonging. There is more than enough space available for guests.

We react fast, be it by mail (often in the hour, max 24h, we have evening shift), Immediatly by phone. Tall Windows & Quiet

The location for this apartment is a given - it's great, just off Blvd Saint-Germain in the Saint-Germain-des-Pres area. There's a bakery a couple doors down, grocery store around the corner, lots of shops, cafes & restaurants, plus 2 metro stops within a few minutes walk. I chose this apartment because of the windows, light, and contemporary decor. I like the contrast of modern furniture in the old building, plus this apartment is very uncluttered. The fixtures are not new but work and the water was really hot.

The bed is a murphy bed though we just left it down all the time because it was not in the way. It was very comfortable.

The apartment could use a little TLC but nothing that would ruin your stay - there is some plaster on walls that needs repair and the kitchen could use a face lift, but it was pretty well stocked with dishes and pans.

The big open living area is the highlight, though the mosaic bathroom tile is pretty cool too. And there is a washer/dryer combo, very handy.

The check-in process is a little cumbersome stopping at one location to get keys and then getting through the door, gate and finding the way in the building. I got very explicit instructions and they worked, but for a tired, first time traveler in Paris, the process may be a little trying and having someone meet you at the apartment may be more desirable -- however, the plus is that this method provides a lot of flexibility. You can arrive pretty much anytime you like without having to make arrangements to meet someone to check you in and keep notifying if there are delays.

Overall a positive experience and the staff handling the rental and details is very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely stay there again.

Ideal apartment

We stayed in this warm,comfortable,quiet and convenient apartment for two weeks in February and have nothing but praise for it.It is within easy walking distance of all the places we wanted to visit through streets of interesting and varied shops.

Anybody wanting to stay in this part of the left bank will find this an ideal apartment.

Our New Favorite Place

We've stayed in a number of apartments in Paris, and we now like this one the best. Good location and neighborhood. A nice open living area with big windows. Everything works, fast WiFi. Management very responsive. Hope to come again. (Keys must be retrieved and returned to a lockbox at a second address. Not a problem, but glad I had my reading glasses and a flashlight.)

Bright and Airy Apt in St. Germain

Stayed at the Corbusier Apt for one week in May with my husband. The apartment was quiet, well maintained and in a great location. The restaurants and boulangerie on the street were great to have so nearby and Eggs & Co. Around the corner was perfect for breakfast or brunch!

Areas that could be improved/need to be noted

- getting the key is a two stop process and very self service. The directions were easy and we had no problems, but for someone who might be getting off a long international flight, it might be more complicated than you want.

- like most rentals, make sure to stop and grab needed items. Minimal support is provided (toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc.)

- don't expect long hot showers. The tank is very small and you have to go lukewarm water with half pressure or all the hot water is gone in 3.5 minutes (I timed it the 2nd shower!)

- bed is a smaller pull down Murphy bed and quite noisy....

The benefits

- great location near Metroprix (grocery), restaurants, metro stop, shopping, etc.

- apartment was clean and had great WIFI

- location and building was quiet

- good for 2 people, would be pretty small for 3

- nice lighting and sizable bath

- washer worked

- kitchen was stocked with all items needed to cook

- property manager was thorough, detailed and responsive
