Our host was amazing! He was attentive and was all about our comfort. The cabin is precious and was as advertised. The location was perfect, it was easy to find and not in the touristy area. Beautiful scenery, minutes away from the National Park. We can’t say enough good things about our stay.

Great cabin and has most anything you need! We enjoyed staying there and had fun. Close to all activities as well. Couple of minor areas were not as clean but everything else was great! We would come back!

A cool and quiet place to stay. Close enough to downtown for a quick drive down but far enough out for some spacious relaxation. Alex was a very responsive host and I would definitely recommend this property to others.

Great cabin with a beautiful view! The pool table was a big hit with the family. Beds were very comfortable and a well equipped kitchen. We brought our solo stove and had a campfire in the driveway. Lots of bears, so be aware and bring bear spray!

Thanks for staying with us Megan! We pride ourselves in providing a 24-hour clean guarantee in the event anything is not up to par. We wish you've communicated about any of the issues at the cabin during your stay.
About the drive up, I cannot agree it is terrible. Is it mountainous, yes to a degree, is it windy, indeed. But hey, one can look at it as a beauty of the mountainous terrain as you make your way up to the beautiful location at 2700 feet above Gatlinburg.
Glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise!
1) very close to Gatlinburg and the park2) the games (foosball, pool, arcade) were clutch to have for the kids3) host communication was very good and we appreciate that they let us check in a bit early 4) place is really dated and could use some updates

My family of 6 stayed here for 7 days. We enjoyed staying here. Having 3 bedrooms gave us the space to have our quiet time. The pool table and hot tub got used a lot. We also did DollyWood and hiked about 13 miles. We also did Ober Mountain for a couple of days. It was a great location to get anywhere we wanted to.go. overall we had adventure but the place gave us a chance to just relax. We enjoyed the pool a few times and the view was nice there too.

Fantastic place to stay! Nice distance from main attractions without being in the middle of the hub bub of downtown. The place was nice, clean, well stocked and well furnished. Chris & Melissa were super responsive to questions and needs. We had an amazing trip and hope to be back!

Great place to stay, very clean, had everything you need and good view. Nicely decorated along with pool table and games. Enjoyed the extra’s in the cabin, such as tea bags, coffee, detergents, soaps,, Enjoyed the outside area especially with all the lights, nice hot tub and corn hole game. I had a question about something and Alex responded very quickly. Good service. I would definitely recommend this cabin.
We were only there for two days but loved it! Played lots of pool, went hiking, used the hot tub, and had a fire. Had everything we needed. The drive is twisty and turny with some elevation so just mentally prepare for that if you need to. Super cute, cool place and loved being up/away from the chaos of Gatlinburg- we didn't really do much in Gatlinburg itself other than try to get through it to the beautiful smokies :).

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Groovy A-frame! The place was clean, the view was beautiful and overall it was a 5 star experience. Our suggestions to the owners are to provide better instructions for use of the hot tub, neighborhood amenities, electronics around the house and the unreachable roll down shades in the living room. We also felt that there should have been hand soap provided and more towels but other than that, everything was perfect!

Our family of four had fun celebrating one of oursons birthday here. The cabin is exactly what is shown in the listing and very clean. It has a beautiful view of the mountains from the front porch. Our boys enjoyed learning how to play foosball, pool, and old school games on the multicade. The mountain neighborhood was very peaceful and quiet. It was only 10 minutes from the downtown area,

Thank you Amanda! So happy you had a great time and enjoyed the cabin and surrounding area. Hope to welcome you back sometime. Blessings!
House was nice but a little dated. Location was good but would recommend all wheel or 4 wheel drive as some of the roads are steep but all paved. Pool table was ok but needs some repairs to make it more fun. Owner was responsive and helpful. Needs cleaned better as there restrooms where dirty and looked to have some buildup on them. Pools really are not located easily would suggest getting better directions to them left in the cabin.

Thanks for staying with us Jonathan. All your comments were taken seriously and have been fully dressed with our local team. We are ready and happy to receive you again soon!
The cabin was great! Dated, retro but I knew that based on photos. Doesn’t take away from the place at all - it was cute and a nice little “something different” plenty of games, some nostalgic, for the kids, hot tub. It does take a while to get to on typical mountain roads and driveway is small so no turning around. Pull in, back out but we did it in a full size truck. Lots of bears! None caused any issues although a mom and her cubs came right up to our truck. Beautiful views and quiet neighborhood. Very peaceful.

Pleasure to host Jennifer. Respectful to the space and in communications.
“Big kids wanted to ski” This location was awesome! We dropped off the big kids at Ober on several days of our trip and then took our 9yo down the mountain for fun! We did it all. Dollywood, indoor water park, old time photos, goats on the roof, mountain coasters, The Peddler, Flavorfown, indoor mini golf, the list is too long to go on…also, we are now buying a pool table. The amount of conversation and “non-electronic” time we had as a family around that table was invaluable! Thanks for sharing your cabin. It was for sure “groovy”!

Why they chose this property
We choose this neighborhood because property is located in a Chalet Village community, giving us access to 3 club houses year around and an unlimited access to nature right at the doorstep. The club houses not only offer access to pool, but also pickle ball courts and tennis courts. With its proximity to the city of Gatlinburg (2.0 miles) and its walkability to multitude of venues, a short drive to the National Park entrance (2.5 miles), and an ability to hit pigeon Forge or Dollywood (10 miles) for more fun filled action, this location can't be beat. There's truly everything one would want to have in a nice restful stay.
What makes this property unique
The Aframe Of Mind cabin in Gatlinburg is very well positioned in the hills above the city and only minutes to the park entrance. The large space will accommodate your every desire, be it spending time in a playroom shooting at space invaders or playing pool, enjoying a cup of coffee while looking at beautiful views of Mount Le Conte from the deck, lazying about in your comfortable bed, playing corn hole on the deck, or recuperating in a hot tub. The AFrame is outfitted in a beautiful mid-century decor, transforming you to the hay days of midcentury when life was full of hope, beauty, and simplicity.
Book with us, to truly unwind and enjoy the best of what Smokies have to offer. You will not be disappointed.
