Peaceful, Secluded Olive Star Cottage. Huge Garden with Fire Pit. Pet Friendly

Wake up in this private tranquil retreat. The cozy, 2 bed 1 bath mid-century modern cottage is located on over two acres of land boasting a back deck, lovely ridge views, a lawn, and woods for a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

Olive Star Cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, stocked with all the essentials, new stainless appliances and sliding doors out onto the deck.

The living room has been outfitted with mid-century modern furniture and the comfortable couch is perfect for movie watching in front of the gas fire.

There is also outdoor seating, hammock, umbrellas, a fire pit and a grill for use in warmer weather.

The house has two bedrooms with queen size beds and a ceramic tile bathroom - linens and towels are provided in addition to basic toiletries. A Marshall speaker & wireless internet access provide the entertainment.

Guests have access to the ground floor of the property (the upstairs space is not available for guests) and the expansive lawn. Dogs are welcome . A one time pet fee of $40 applies.

We are available 24/7 with questions, concerns or suggestions, otherwise we want you to enjoy the privacy of your vacation.

The house is a five minute drive from the beautiful Ashokan Reservoir and a close drive to hiking trails, watering holes, and apple picking. The wonderful restaurants located in Stone Ridge, High Falls, and Woodstock are also just 20 minutes away.

Our stay at Olive Star Cottage was delightful from start to finish. The host sent clear, detailed instructions for use. The cottage was cozy, comfortable and quiet. The fall views were breathtaking.

Wonderful property, great location off the beaten path but close (enough) to terrific hiking. 5 stars for host communication and check in/out process. Property is well maintained and well appointed. Would absolutely stay again.

Overall, we had a truly wonderful stay in Olivebridge. The house was perfectly located for our exploration of the towns and hiking trails in the area. There are a few minor issues with the house that could be addressed: the bathroom door is very squeaky (WD40 would do wonders) and the shower makes a terrible screeching noise. The handle to enter the kitchen from the deck is black (I tried to clean it but it didn't help much) and the beds are a bit unevenly worn. There is also an oil diffuser which is either attached or fused to the cabinet in the main room which was really bothering me on days that my allergies were acting up. However, we loved the outdoor space and looking up at the peppered night sky and listening to the birds and the home was otherwise very comfortable. We were sad to leave and would consider returning next time we are able to vacation in the area.

The cottage was lovely, immaculate and well stocked with every useful household item. The host was very pleasant , accessible if we needed to communicate with her. The area was very peaceful and accessible to many of the towns we wanted to visit. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in the Catskills area!!

The house is well maintained and the outdoor space is fantastic. Everything needed for a comfortable stay was included. The Wi-Fi at the house was a little spotty and some of the kitchen supplies and grill were not fully cleaned. However, we really enjoyed our stay.

Great secluded getaway

This is a wonderful, secluded property with nice touches (linens, towels, robes) and kitchen extras (coffee, tea, filtered water, spices). We had a small issue with ants in the kitchen and Victoria was responsive and helpful and we got it quickly resolved. We travelled into Kingston (30 minutes away) for lunch, shopping, and a movie. It was a beautiful drive through the countryside.

Nice stay in the Catskills

This home was just right for us. Everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable was available. We were close to many different hiking and biking trails. We had a very pleasant experience.

A Home That Really *Is* As Delightful As It Looks

Sometimes pictures actually DO tell the truth! Our group was me, my teenage daughter and my close friend, plus our two respective small dogs. We found the home inviting and clean inside and out. in a truly lovely setting, with a stunning vista out front of the mountain and trees. The yard is spacious and open.Other classy elements: starter rolls of paper towels, TP, kleenax in the bathroom, and even a starter pack of wood to get the fire pit going. Ample fresh towels greet you on the bed. Oh, right. The beds. Hands down one of the most comfortable I've slept in from pillows to mattress.We were a small pack of New Yorkers just looking to escape for a few nights, and this more than filled the bill. Look forward to returning.

Peace & Quiet

My partner and I were in dire need of some time off work and off the radar. We wanted somewhere close to Kingston, but something that had the space and quiet we desperately needed. The house was adorable - tidy, cozy, the perfect place tucked away.

Peaceful getaway

We loved our stay in Olivebridge week after Thanksgiving. Wildlife and sunrises out the front door were amazing! We enjoyed walking the Ashokan Reservoir. We were lucky to have an unexpected snowfall of up to 8 inches during our stay! Our pups were loving it! Delicious breakfast and lunch at “Roost” in Stoneridge. No night life, just, relaxing time away from home. Lots of reading and resting. We would love to return.

Nice quiet house in the country

Beautiful house, beautiful property. Nice location, fairly close to anything you could need to do… a little driving required but not bad at all. So quiet and peaceful. Plenty of space in the house, fully equipped kitchen for any cooking. Gas fireplace kept everything cosy. Even had a record player and nice selection of records to listen to! Very happy with everything!

A cozy gem!

This house is beautifully outfitted for a cozy stay in a secluded, nature-filled setting. The sun comes up over the mountains out the front windows. Deer graze in the yard. Sit by the fire and enjoy the comfort of this adorable abode. It’s a winner!
