Great weekend getaway with family

Our kids wanted to go to a catch-and-cook restaurant, and we discovered the English Mountain Trout Farm. Because it was somewhat of a long drive from home, we decided to make a little family trip/weekend getaway out of it and the location of this property was perfect. We had 2.5 families stay and there was plenty of space and it was nice to have 3 bathrooms.

Beautiful Home

Relaxing area away from the action of Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge but not too far away. Loved sitting outside in the evening and early morning. Accommodations were great! Host responded to all my questions right away.

Thanksgiving

We rented the house for my family to celebrate Thanksgiving together. It was exactly how it was described in the listing. Management was extremely quick with responses when I had any questions. The house is great and big enough for everyone to be together but also have their own space. I’d reserve here again if we decide to do it again next year!

I'm delighted to hear that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration at the house and that it met your expectations. It's great to know that the management was responsive and that the house provided enough space for your family to be together comfortably. If you decide to celebrate Thanksgiving together again next year, we'd be more than happy to have you reserve the house once more.

We stayed at his home for a small family reunion myself, my husband, two grown children with their husbands and wives and two grandkids and my 89-year-old Dad and my sister. The house was a ranch and with pretty views. I rated it a one for the check-in as we arrived to the house 30 minutes prior to our check-in time and I called and requested an early check-in since we were right outside, but they refused to allow us to check in early. Overall, the property is in a nice quiet neighborhood close to Pigeon Forge, the caverns and the Smoky Mountains and we were able to make day trips to these areas every day. Unfortunately, there were several things wrong at the home, including a broken dishwasher and a refrigerator that made very loud noises, broken cabinets and loose toilet seats. I called the company on Monday morning. We arrived on Sunday and they said they would send someone out. On Wednesday no one still had arrived so I called and emailed and texted to ask for an update and never received a reply. I emailed again on Thursday saying the lack of communication was going to affect our rating.Just an aside, Dad has a walker, and despite being one floor, it was not “accessible” low toilets and no bars in baths, but we made it work. But to be fair it was not advertised as accessible, I just include that in case anyone is traveling with a disability. Overall we had a wonderful vacation!
