This is a great beachfront location. The bathroom situation was a little awkward for a family. There are 5 bedrooms and 2 jack and jill bathrooms, so someone had to walk through another bedroom to get to the bathroom.

Cute and clean

Wonderful house; perfect for our extended family of 7 ages 10-84! The house was exceptionally clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed the spacious porch with the beautiful view of the ocean. We hope to visit again next summer.

On the shore

It is on the beach! This was a plus being so close, there was a perk to coffee on the porch watching the waves. The house is about 100 feet from the shore but it’s mostly the deck. Inside there are 3 bedrooms on one side with the jack n Jill bathroom and two bedrooms on the other side that also share a bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with pans and dishes but bring a pizza cutter and dish towel with you. The location is great but I recommend checking in later and out early on Saturdays, the traffic is not great.

2nd bathroom had low water pressure didnt realize that you needed to either rent or bring own linens,beach umbrella and beach chairs until we spoke with host, very crowded beach during peak hours of the day until 6pm great ocean views, cool breeze, weather was great, nice evening walks on the beach, we enjoyed the covered decks , we saw dolphins on our last day

Great views and ocean breezes. Needs a outdoor table and more side tables. The porch is huge, it would have been great to sit out there for a meal or two. Only one little side table in living room...nowhere to set things. The house was minimal, and a bit outdated, but it was clean and spacious. My family and I really enjoyed our stay and would consider this house again. Owner is friendly and quick to respond. Plenty of parking for large vehicles or trailers. Gate on back porch, and good railing, was a plus for my 3 yo. It would have been great to have a hose on the beach access, instead of a just a spicket. Only cons were my own nit picky things, nothing major!

Affordable ocean front in Ocean Isle Beach. Very nice.

We were looking for a last minute rental for Memorial Day week when this place suddenly became available. I booked it and the owner replied and confirmed very quickly within an hour so that we could get ready and hit the road the following day for our 8.5 hour drive. As many other reviews noted this is an older style and smaller house compared to some around it however many in Ocean Isle Beach still seem very similar to this one. This was not a problem for us at all and in fact it made it affordable for an ocean front rental home, which is great. I wouldn't try putting more than one family in this house just given the tighter common area but it was great for our family of 5. The house was very clean and ready to go when we arrived, AC worked well, kitchen was well stocked and just about everything was in good order. The check in process was seemless in the sense that there really is none. Lori, the owner, sent us a door code and when we got there it worked, can't get much easier. The views from the back deck are amazing and the 30 second walk to the beach can't be beat. My only recommendation is to get the wifi router/modem replaced. It barely works and is so old it only uses the oldest 802.11 standard and with all the houses competing for frequency range it just doesn't work well at all. I am about 98% sure if you just call the cable company and tell them it is not performing well they would replace it for free as this is also their cable modem and there is no way they support that model any longer. This was more of an issue for my kids than my wife or I but it is easily resolved. Overall the place was exactly what we expected and we would gladly rent it again.

Terrific trip

Lovely beach cottage with fantastic porch and location. Plenty of parking and everything in working order. Very clean! Our group had a wonderful experience in Ocean Isle Beach!

On the beach

Older property well maintained inside. Could use new railings outside. Bathrooms difficult for older adults to navigate, cramped toilet spaces and step over tubs.. Perfect location and plenty of room.

Great location

The beachfront property was excellent. The house was adequate for the number of people we had but the lack of a master bath made it difficult. VRBO says it sleeps 12 with three baths but the fine print says sleeps 10 with two baths. Bathrooms are jack and Jill‘s. Outdoor hose was completely rusted and sharp, cutting a little fingers. Just need some basic upkeep and reconsideration on bathrooms for a property that sleeps that many

Big family fun

We had two families stay in this house. Fortunately we were all family and get along. The location of the house was great for the beach but a little too far to walk to the shops. The family space was good size for our group and there was enough room for meals. The kitchen was a bit tight. You have to keep it to one chef and an assistant on the side. Overall we loved the place and would rent it again.

Great Stay

This place is very nice. Quiet beach, far enough away from a public entrance that there are only the people staying in neighboring homes on the beach. Great place for a quiet vacation, or to bring your family to play.

Enjoyable week at the beach

We enjoyed our stay, and Lori, the property owner, was attentive and helpful in seeing that we had a good time. Four factors that were pluses: Many comfortable rocking chairs, 11 am checkout time, a price that can't be beat, and beautiful views of the water. There were minor problems, but that should be expected in an older property. One might pay a lot more and maybe get something a little more upscale, but we were happy with our stay and would return again.
