I took a men’s group from our church and they all felt very comfortable the house. Great location, great accommodations: kitchen, grill, laundry room. Very good washer/dryer. Had two teens who loved spending time in the hot tub. Enjoyed the bikes and kayaks. Overall, a great experience. Our second time staying there.

We had such a great stay here for spring break in Avon! The house had so many fun games and things to do, which made it perfect for hanging out and relaxing together. The outdoor space was amazing and the hot tub was an awesome amenity to have, especially at night with the lights and TV.It’s also a super quick walk to the beach, which was really peaceful during the off-season. There are also some great coffee shops within walking distance, which was a nice bonus in the mornings.The kitchen was stocked with pretty much everything you could ever need, which made cooking at the house really easy. Just make sure to bring your own bath and beach towels!One thing to note if you’re visiting in the off-season is that a lot of the restaurants and ice cream shops nearby are closed for the season, but that also makes the area feel more relaxed and uncrowded. Overall we had an amazing stay and would definitely come back!

As for the towels - we’ve had so many issues with guests losing or accidentally taking them, that we have to replace some of them nearly every stay. Also, since we permit up to 19 people in the house, it is just more practical for guests to bring their own. Loved the location of the house, and the house was wonderful! Only about a 5 minute walk to the beach, and the house already had beach chairs for our group to use. The kitchen was large enough for our entire party, and was a fun space to hang out in. The hosts of this home were wonderful, and we would definitely return!

The Deck House was perfect for our large, extended family vacation. Plenty of room to spread out for both fun party time and quiet reading/down time. Property was clean, nicely decorated, and kitchen was fully stocked with all cooking needs, etc.Easy walk to the beach, DQ across the street, grocery near by. The property is just as pictured. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. The tiki bar area has so much to offer from beach toys, outdoor games beach chairs as well umbrellas. The out door showers are great when returning from the beach. Just be prepared for the sand dune climb to beach lol.

As far as the dune goes, all houses in OBX have a large dune between them and the ocean protecting them from storms and high sea surge. Without the dunes, the houses would be exposed and succumb to the ocean at some point or another.

All in one right here! Amazing location to a public access for the beach! DQ across the street and really good restaurants in the area! The house is amazing! Plenty of outdoor space, well lit, clean hot tub, multiple decks, outdoor showers, corn hole and a tiki bar! Perfect set up inside and out! Neighbors were friendly! The host is great, checked in the day we arrived, extended our check out and mailing the clothes we left back to us! I’ve never “saved” a place but this is one we will be returning to!
