About this property
Creekside Maroon Bells Cabin at T-Lazy-7 Ranch, 5 Min to Maroon Bells & Highlands, 10 to Aspen
Tucked beneath towering pines along Maroon Creek, River's Edge Cabin offers front-row views of rushing water, roaming wildlife, and the wilderness beyond. Located at historic T-Lazy-7 Ranch just 5 minutes from the iconic Maroon Bells and Aspen Highlands, this intimate creekside studio blends rustic charm with quiet comfort. Wake beside the fire, sip coffee by the river, and settle into one of Aspen's most unforgettable wilderness settings just 10 minutes from downtown.
Part of the historic T-Lazy-7 Ranch — a working ranch and Aspen institution since 1938 — this cozy studio cabin offers a rare chance to stay directly beside the Maroon Bells Wilderness in one of the valley's most storied landscapes. It's the closest non-camping accommodation to the iconic Maroon Bells, close enough that the mountains feel less like a destination and more like part of your front yard. Inside, a plush queen bed faces an electric fireplace, while floor-to-ceiling windows frame the creek just beyond. The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and a small dining table perfectly positioned for slow breakfasts with a view. Step outside and follow the gravel path to your private riverside seating area. Across the ranch, guided horseback rides, snowmobile tours, and e-bike rentals make it easy to explore the surrounding wilderness without ever leaving the spirit of the place behind.

Amazing view and location, highly recommend
Adorable little cabin with huge picture window with a perfect view. Loved sitting in the chairs right by the river and enjoying this peaceful area all while being very close to town and also the trails around the maroon bells. Would love to come back and stay in this perfect spot again.
Thank you so much for visiting us, John! It was truly a delight to host you, and we would be absolutely thrilled to welcome you back whenever you're in Aspen!
Having grown up in Aspen, and knowing the area, this location is a gem. Beautiful new cute and cozy cabin with amazing view over the river that serenaded us to sleep each night.
We stayed in this lovely cabin in the days leading up to our wedding in Aspen. It was the perfect peaceful getaway.

Wonderful spot for enjoying Aspen!
We stayed in the River's Edge Cabin for a winter weekend. The cabin is only a few minutes from Aspen Highlands and a five minute drive into town. The location was beautiful and super relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.
Easy access to town if you want it. But this cabin sets in such a beautiful place, you may never want to leave. If you wanna get away, this is a great place to do it.

Super cute, great location
This is a wonderful cabin on the river. Bed is very comfortable and little kitchen has everything you need. Rent ebikes from across the street and go up to Maroon Bells, it's awesome. Also every rancher we talked to was really nice!

Great little spot. GPS takes you to the lodge not your cabin. If you plan on riding bikes up to Maroon Bells be prepared to lock them up and hike up to the lake. We saw lots of wildlife right out the window! Nice getaway from the traffic and hassle of Aspen.

Thank you for your review! You’re absolutely right about the GPS — it often directs guests to the main lodge first, which is why we include step-by-step directions in the virtual guidebook. We’re so glad you enjoyed the peaceful setting and the wildlife sightings, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime!
The property is beautifully located along a creek and surrounded by trees and wildlife. Very peaceful and quiet. A bit hard to find and directions do not quite match signage but the location couldn't be better for quick access to the Maroon Bells Wilderness or into Aspen proper.

Clean, ready to enjoy and close to Marron Bells and Aspen. Horse back riding was across the street

Thank you so much for visiting, Ashely! We're really happy to hear you enjoyed your stay. You're always warmly welcomed back whenever you come to Aspen!
We searched for a while a rental during a busy time of year and little did we know how amazing this place was! Just WOW- the location on the river and epic views from the large windows in room were truly spectacular. While the studio cabin is little and quaint, it is so cozy, updated, clean and well stocked with all essentials. We will definitely stay here again!
Weekend was amazing! Maroon creek wasCongested with traffic…no warning…only downside!

I'm so happy to hear you had such an awesome weekend! It’s unfortunate about the traffic at Maroon Creek, but we truly look forward to welcoming you back. Thank you for being such a fantastic guest!
This cabin exceeded our expectations in every way possible. It was beautiful, remote and close to downtown Aspen and the Maroon Bells. We went during peak flow on the creek behind the house and having the windows open to the river all night was nice. All the staff we met (and animals) on the farm were nice and it all made for a wonderful vacation. Can't recommend this place enough!
