About Bob's White Mountain Presidential Range Vacations

Family of six - now 'empty nesters'.

Love the outdoors - family of hikers, climbers, x-country and downhill skiers. Had a great time as well at Santas Village, Clarks Trading Post (Bears) and many others including the water amusement park in the summer - 'Whale's Tale'

Bob's White Mountain Presidential Range Vacations purchased this house in 1992

Why Bob's White Mountain Presidential Range Vacations chose White Mountains

Views are spectacular.

We are a family of outdoors people. Love to ski Cannon and Loon, but moved over to Bretton Woods as the first son and later, triplets were born.

Began slowly building in 1992. Finished the interior etc. around 2004. Linwood Homes of Vancouver provided the materials. Appliances were put in between 2003 and 2011. Flat screen 43' and 31' TVs are from 2013 and 2014. We had a 54' but it fell to the floor. Couches are from 2010 or newer, Most bedroom furnishings are newer as well.

Three are newer double bed frames from IKEA, a large Queen (Not Ikea) with a firm Serta mattress and a bunk bed. All mattresses are newlike and tops in comfort.

Very rarely used - moved overseas in 2004.

We have a professional cleaning company to take care of the laundry, paper towels, toilet paper and cleaning of the interior of the rental. A local company plows and sands and makes sure there is a bucket with sand. We do not use salt.

We can pay a person to meet with you on arrival and provide keys to access the premises.

Originally planned on building a cabin heated by a wood stove overlooking the Presidential Range - but as the children arrived, our plans changed and an oil furnace with forced hot water was a wise choice. We recently installed another well (artesian) in the Summer of 2014. A new hot water heater, LG Side loading washer/dryer and filter system was added in 2012 or so.

This is the perfect place to relax, enjoy the view and recharge the batteries.

What makes this house unique

Less than a spirited walk to the downtown of quaint Bethlehem.

Relax and view the amazing Mt. Washington inside - take a leisurely stroll down the lane, go play golf in one of the many nearby golf courses, hike, ski downhill and cross country, snowmobile, swim in the Town seasonal pool, ice skate, roller blade, play basketball or tennis on very nice Town facilities and a whole lot more.

Private - quiet but not secluded location.

Ten minute drive to the main shopping areas of Littleton. Outlets 45-50 minutes (North Conway)

Guestbook comments from the manager

Excellent

  • 5 of 5

We stayed as a group of several families for Christmas/New Year vacation. In preparation, I communicated with Bob and he was always very responsive and accommodating.

The property is great, conveniently located close to Cannon, Bretton Woods and Loon ski areas (our main attraction, given the season).

The view is absolutely fantastic. You see the weather changes over Mount Washington throughout the day, sunsets, and sunrises... Many photo opportunities!!!

In the course of our stay, I was in contact with the owner for a few minor things - always a quick response with a resolution. Cannot say enough good things about Bob and the place!

The perfect family get-away spot

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful 3 generation family weekend here to celebrate my 70th birthday. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious, well-equipped with an absolutely fabulous view. I could have sat all day in the living room and looked out at the mountain view with its changing mists, but there were also just too many other fun-filled activities to do - build a snowman, hike up a pretty trail to NH's highest waterfall, eat out at a local restaurant where all our meals were spot-on delicious (Rosa Flamingos), visit Mt Washington Hotel. There are many great activities to do nearby, and then it was always nice to come back to this comfortable, welcoming home.

House in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We had a wonderful week in Northern New Hampshire. We wanted to hike during the height of the fall foliage and we hit it just right! We walked into this great house and could see the mountains and the foliage from the big windows in the family room. We had no problems the entire week. The home is just as advertised. It's a very comfortable home and close to everything. We took our dogs and hiked in a different area every day. It was never more than a 30 minute drive and usually closer.

A wonderful, relaxing week during a beautiful time of year. We look forward to returning!

Terrific host, terrific location

  • 5 of 5

Thanks to Bob and his responsiveness and hospitality, what could have been a disastrous trip for us was smoothed out considerably. We had two mishaps toward the latter half of our trip that made things very difficult - one accident related to property and another to keys. Bob was a true gentleman in managing through these with me.

The property location is terrific with a balcony deck view of Mt Washington and the Presidential range in the distance, and can't be beat in this price range. If you are looking for a one of a kind mountain view location and host who is second to none, no matter the issue (Bob was outside the country at the time), this is your vacation place.

Wow, what a view!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic 5-night stay at this lodge from 18-23 August. We were two families, with 5 kids aged 4-8 and one dog.

As soon as you arrive at the property (situated on a very quiet, secluded road) you are blown away by the view from the deck. Uninterrupted view of the mountains! The chalet, although quite dated in its decor, is immaculately clean and homely. The main living space is on the upper floor, making the most of the breath-taking view.

In terms of the area, there's a huge amount to do. We hiked up to Lonesome Lake, Artists' Bluff and paid to go into the Flume Gorge and up Cannon Mountain on the gondola. We also had dinner at The Cold Mountain Cafe in Bethlehem (make reservations, it was very popular!), ate ice-cream at the parlour in Littleton and spent my niece's birthday at Whale's Tales Water Park in Lincoln (also exceeded my expectations).

All in all, a superb stay and fantastic location! (Moose wandered into the backyard during our stay and we got some great photos).

Owner's Response: Thanks Lucy, there a some great theme parks for everyone, especially - when you need a day off and want to just sit by the pool in the center of town or drive 10 minutes to a water park. Tremendous for hikers and more.

White Mountains 2016

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week in August with our son, daughter-in-lay and 2 grandsons...18 months and 6 years (and our 2 dogs). The deck was a perfect spot for the kids and adults. The location was perfect for all sorts of outdoor adventures with the family. We appreciated the wonderful mountain views and the quiet road the house was on. We highly recommend to all who want a peaceful scenic getaway! Bob was easy to reach and very prompt with correspondence. Thanks for a wonderful, memory making vacation! Lenore and family
