Harbor Island is a private, gated barrier island 14 miles from Beaufort SC. Ideally located for day trips, Harbor is about an hour and a half drive south to Savannah GA, and about two hours north to historic Charleston, SC. Beaufort, about 30 minutes away, offers boutique shopping, great restaurants, horse and buggy and walking tours of the historic district, and a tremendous waterfront park stretching along the Intracoastal Waterway with boat tours (dolphin watch, sunset cruise, eco-tours, etc.) departing from the marina.
If golf is your thing, there are several moderately priced, easily accessible golf courses in the Beaufort area and many more an hour or so away on nearby Hilton Head Island. But we are betting you will never want to leave Harbor Island after you check into this great home!
