Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations. We did communicate with you throughout your stay regarding your concerns and responded to your messages. As explained, we have a professional pest control service that treats the property weekly. In Florida, palmetto bugs are unfortunately common, and it is not unusual to occasionally see one, especially after a treatment when they come out and die. We understand your concern; however, the issue was reported on the final night of your 5-night stay after you had already enjoyed nearly your entire vacation. At that point, you requested a full refund for the entire stay. While we are always willing to work with guests to reach a fair resolution, we were unable to agree to a full refund under those circumstances. Regarding the smoke detector, guest safety is extremely important to us. The detector was present and operational, and any concerns about safety would have been addressed immediately had they been reported during your stay. We appreciate your comments about the location and wish you the best in your future travels.
