  • Great home for a family gathering

"We rented this house for 5 days the week following Christmas 2016 for a family get-together (8 adults and a toddler). The house is well furnished, attractive, and comfortable. The main floor (it’s really the second floor of the 3 story house) has a large master bedroom with large en suite bath, a laundry room, and the rest of the floor has an open plan with the kitchen and a large main living/dining area (L-shaped around the kitchen). The other 3 bedrooms are upstairs on the third floor. Two share a bathroom and there’s third bathroom across the hall from the fourth bedroom. There’s a balcony off the third floor overlooking Gulf Boulevard. We were able to see fireworks (seemingly in all directions) from that balcony at midnight on New Year’s Eve. It’s a short walk from the house to a pedestrian crossing to the beach side of Gulf Boulevard. The beach was delightful. You can rent chairs and paddleboards right there, and the gulf water in late December was warm enough that my sons and I rented a couple of paddleboards for our first attempt at that sport. In the 2-car garage on the first floor you will find beach toys, umbrellas, and a little cart to use for hauling your belongings to the beach. There’s also a back porch that we didn’t have a chance to use. And there’s an elevator that is useful for transporting your luggage to the other floors. This house was very welcoming for our family gathering. It is light and airy, a pleasant place to hang out and a good base from which to launch day trips to local attractions. Carrie, the owner, was responsive to my questions and prompt with refunding our security deposit. Tip for seafood lovers, I recommend that you visit Madeira Beach Seafood, a few blocks down Gulf Boulevard. They get their fish right off the boats that come there to unload, so it’s very fresh. They also have beautiful frozen Key West Pink shrimp."

  • Wonderful trip!

"Arie Dam 201 is well maintained and has a beautiful view of the Gulf. The location is close to many restaurants and bars and the pool/hot tub area is very nice."

  • Outstanding Location

"Condo is the perfect size for a couple and the location can't be beat. The condo is located across the street from a CVS Pharmacy and Winn Dixie ( no need to drive for groceries ). This condo is the closest to the beach in the complex and a very short walk. The complex is gated and very secure."

  • Excellent rental condo

"Our stay at Madeira Beach over Christmas break was fantastic. First, we rent from VRBO every year, and working with Betty on the rental of this condo was the best experience we've had in terms of her accommodating our needs. Rating: A+ Second, the location and beach was fantastic. The view was great, and you can't beat walking out of the condo onto the beach. Plus, shopping and restaurants were nearby, and the beach was not crowded despite the fantastic weather that we had during out stay. The condo itself was also great. It was spacious, well-stocked with dishes, televisions, furniture, etc. I would give the condo a rating of A- only because the master bedroom must either 'share' the master bathroom (door from bathroom to bedroom and to living area) OR other staying in the condo need to walk through another bedroom (not really master) to get to the other full bath. This wasn't a big deal, and for most folks this wouldn't be an issue at all. Because we had two sets of adults and two teenage girls with us, it was just a little awkward for our particular group. Rating A- Overall Rating A. We'd definitely go back to St. Petersburg and rent this condo again. We had a great dolphin watch cruise, went to the botanical gardens, and walked around downtown St. Petersberg. We also went to Fort DeSota, but mostly we just spend time on the beach. We highly recommend this condo for renting."
