Imagine yourself sitting on the quiet side of Door County enjoying the beautiful sandy beach of Lake Michigan. You will be able enjoy fun days in the sand and water and peaceful evenings listening to the waves. Walk along the shoreline and enjoy the sites, as well as what Jacksonport has to offer.

We have everything you need to enjoy your stay including a game room, beach towels and toys, a grill, and many more amenities.

To top it off, we are located near Cave Point County Park

This very pretty 1915 home is such a quaint place to stay. This cottage was the original lodge to a resort. The additional cabins are still in use to this day. You will walk past them as you head to the beach

Our home has a spacious kitchen including an island with seating and a full dining room. In addition, the living room is so comfortable and perfect for relaxing and spending time with family.

Each bedroom offers at least a double bed, with the master bedroom having a king size bed. We also have a sleeper sofa bed in the living room and a day bed with 2 twin beds in the game room.

What makes this space even more special?: Simply walk out the back door and Lake Michigan is only 100yds away.

Plus....the super awesome game room. This game room has a ping pong table, bar (BYOB), foosball table and chairs for games and much more.

We want our guests to feel very welcome and at home. Thus, we have made available an awesome 4 burner griddle grill for you to use.

Sit outside at night by the firepit and listen to the beautiful sound of the waves. PLEASE NOTE: Guests are not allowed to bring their wood from home due to invasive species. Thus, we will have wood available for your use. If you need additional wood, please make sure to purchase it from someone local to Door County.

Each guest is required to read, sign and return our Renter's Agreement upon confirming your stay.

We will always make ourselves available throughout your stay. Our contact number will be provided as you get closer to the dates you will be staying.

We are located in a very peaceful neighborhood location on the quiet side of Lake Michigan

Parking is abundant in Jacksonport. We like to bring our bikes and bike the parks and from one community to another as we enjoy our days in Door County.

We loved staying at the Cottage on the Lake and cannot wait to return. The location is wonderful with the lovely private beach, the game room provided endless entertainment, and we appreciated the hosts' organization of the house. Thank you - we cannot recommend this property highly enough.

Very clean. Good location with an easy drive around Door County. Responsive hosts whenever we had questions. Beautiful area right on the lake - especially to watch the sunrise! Very kind and left a cute gift basket for us :)

Best beach in Door County

We've stayed a few different places in Door County, and this stretch in Jacksonport is my favorite. House is well appointed and comfortable for a large family; or multiple friends. Beach is steps out your door and the provided SUP and kayaks were a hit. Game room offers fun activities in case it's raining! Owners were very responsive and helpful. We had a great stay!

First summer trip to Door County

My husband and I have been traveling to door county for the past 12 years during the fall, but we quickly realized fall time wasn’t as much fun for our two small children. So we decided to find a place on the beach and this cottage did not disappoint! It was even been than the listing, and I know we will be back! Rita was amazing to work with and responded so quickly. Oh and our boys LOVED the beach!

Awesome amenities on the Lake

All the amenities for a fabulous family stay in door county. Personal touch on arrival including notes, Door County classics, and freeze pops for the kids. Game room was great for active boys. Hosts were exceptional with communication and understanding of inevitable hiccups when traveling with kids. Only additional feedback is cottage is situated on road with multiple other surrounding cottages whereas photos appear it’s directly on beach. Nevertheless still less than a 30 second walk to beach area. Easily would/will stay here again when visiting Door County.

Jeff and I are true Wisconsinites and Door County is our favorite part of the state. We love the lakes, state parks, wineries, and the water. From biking, to going for a run, to heading out for a swim, we both love the outdoors. Jeff even more so then myself.

When we purchased this property, we wanted to make sure it had everything we would need as a family when we stay. Once, we saw the beautiful sandy beach and quite residential area, we jumped.

Why they chose this property

When we saw that this home was 100yds out the back door to a beautiful sandy beach with private access, we couldn't let the opportunity pass us by. Now...having stayed in this home, there is nothing more peaceful then the cool breeze which comes off of Lake Michigan at night and waking up the the amazing sunrise. Such a beautiful sight!
