We’re glad you enjoyed the location near Gore Mountain. All home information is provided prior to arrival. The dishwasher has been removed from the amenities, and we apologize for the inconvenience. We hope to welcome you back!
The house was clean.the bed we sleep in look new and was very confortable. But On the pictures, there was a wood stove,a diswasher, but when we check in, both of them were unusable.Overall, the cottage could use some love.
This was a great place, very clean perfect place for me to go skiing at Gore Mt. Sleeping was very comfortable and it had everything needed i will be coming back next winter!!!
Did not realize this was managed by an agency and not the owner. Fireplace did not work - which was one of the main reasons we booked this property. Very sparse decor.
There were more steps in booking this VRBO due to the third party management which included a couple phone calls from me. However, the place was a nice home base for skiing at Gore Mountain, since it’s only a 7min drive. We got snow the night we drove up and the drive way was already plowed and sidewalks were shoveled/salted!
We truly loved our time here. The stream is the perfect spot to have your morning coffee and great for little kiddos to swim in. The trail was filled with so many beautiful pollinators and a great space to walk our pup. The interior space was just what we needed and very cozy. Check in and check out were easy directions to follow. Definitely recommend!

Quite sufficient for what we needed. We were looking for a place to ride motorcycle out of it worked for us. Bed was comfortable! If u are looking for luxurious home this is not for u it’s basic but accommodating!
peace quiet and strolling thru the fields in back was pleased by staff cutting a path to creek and I got many pictures of flowers and nature. Enjoyed the calming ambience too.
Limited kitchen supplies. Had to wash what pots/pans there was, due to mouse droppings. Grill is in poor condition. No dressers

Thank you for sharing your review with us. We regret to hear that the condition of our home did not meet your expectations. We will share your suggestions to add more kitchen supplies with the owner. The grill was checked and is in good condition. The home does not have a dresser, as seen in the listing photos. We deeply apologize for the unwanted critters you experienced during your stay. We will ensure that pest control treatments are completed to prevent any further concerns. Your feedback helps us continue to improve for future guests.

Idyllic Retreat Super Close to Gore Mtn.
We loved our getaway to Shady Acres. We were looking for a calming place to unwind and be in nature and this place delivered. From the nature walks on the property to the cozy cast iron stove to the comfy king bed, we came back feeling thoroughly relaxed and happy. Proximity to Gore mountain and other outdoor activities is huge. Highly recommended!

Convenient Stay
This home felt like it was in the middle of nowhere but within 10 minutes we were in town. Bedrooms were small, but honestly, what more do you need? You're not in the Adirondack's to stay inside. This was perfect for our needs of a central place to stay with the comforts of home.
the inside of the house was good. the outside of the house was terrible. the grass was overgrown couldn't even enjoy the firepit or the picnic table. Call about it no one came to cut it. I left a week before my trip ended. couldn't deal and enjoy the property.
It was the absolute worst stay I've ever had. I've rented 50 plus houses and this was terrible!!! Vacausa is terrible at fixing broken things in a house, they just want your money. It started out with the hot water breaking the first night. We called and emailed and were told it was going to be fixed. Of course it wasn't. The next night the heat broke and of course never fixed. Avoid vacausa like the plague!!! If I could.give them a 0 rating I would!!!
