The Bunkhouse at PennyLane! Cozy Barn apt in the country, only 1 mile off I-25.

Completely renovated bunkhouse apartment only 1 mile off I-25. Rest and relax in the country on our farm with chickens, ducks, and horses. Ample room for parking if you’re pulling a trailer. Only 15 minutes to Longmont, 35 minutes to Denver and Boulder and a straight shot to Estes park and Rocky Mountain National Park via hwy 66. Bedroom boasts a Cal-King bed with new mattress. Living room has a large couch and can accommodate a full size blow up mattress (provided) if needed. Kitchen is fully furnished with eat in kitchen. Full size Washer and Dryer available as well as included Wi-Fi and internet. Relax in front of the fireplace after a full day of activities or open the window and listen to the crickets and birds chirp.

Penny and Chuck were so welcoming! We had an absolutely lovely stay here. It was so cozy and homey and decked out with everything we could have possibly needed. We loved getting to pet the horses and kitties and the location was also perfect for everything that we wanted to do during our stay!

The bunkhouse was perfect for the two of us. We had everything we needed and didn’t have to go shop for anything other than a few groceries! Penny and Chuck were excellent, caring host and we would definitely stay again! Being out in the country was so peaceful and yet we were close enough to Longmont which was very convenient for us. We would rate the Bunkhose as a 10 if we could!!!!

I am a lifelong resident of Colorado, born in Boulder and raised near Niwot. I recently retired from a 32 year career as a physical therapist. My husband and I have two adult daughters and a son in law who live in Durango, CO. Chuck and I live on a small farm (PennyLane) with a plethora of animals including 3 horses, 2 dogs and a couple of cats.

Why they chose this property

We have lived on this farm for 24 years, and it feels like a piece of paradise away from all the hustle and bustle. We are only 1 mile from I-25 so it is ideal for getting to, and away from the city on a major thoroughfare. We are surrounded by farm land and have few neighbors.

What makes this property unique


The Bunkhouse is very private even though our home is located on the property. There is ample parking for those pulling trailers. The central location of The Bunkhouse is perfect for those who want to see the sights that are abundant on the front range of Colorado, while affording peace and quiet when you return home!
