Real Oceanfront, 7 bdrm, Sleeps 14, 3 levels, 3 Decks, 3 Baths - Amazing Views

This review is completely false. And as we learned, a renter can say just about anything and vrbo does not check for the truth or veracity of any claims. The renter asked that the "floor" be re-cleaned upon arrival - this was done. There was no other complaint about cleaning during their entire stay. The house is professionally cleaned before every rental. All bdrms have window coverings, some oceanfront windows do not. There's a dozen extra curtains there if people choose to use them. There are and were no leaks. The renter misused the hand held wand for the tub and some water leaked thru the floor. Accidents happen. We sent in the plumber to check to be safe and there was no leaks at all. The plumber explained to the tenant what happen. They acknowledged the water ran down the hand wand when they used the tub. To say now that there was a waste water leak is just false. Last I looked all door knobs were present, and since it is an older house there are some features that occur over time, a creaky door, etc., But for all that, I'm glad that liked the oceanfront location. What's offensive about this process is that this renter demanded a partial refund basically because they saw a few crumbs in a kitchen drawer, and because they felt the floor was not clean enough upon arrival - in lieu of leaving a bad review. We declined the hustle, which happens once in a while, and now the bad review appears. Again, vrbo does not check the truth or veracity of any complaint. So anyone can say anything. For example, our prior review says the house was "spotless" ! This renter says it was filthy. The same cleaning service was used both times. So how could it be filthy after being professionally cleaned. It's just not true. I nonetheless immediately sent the cleaner back just in case something was overlooked. Regarding the house photos, some are older and do not show the new indoor and outdoor furniture, or the new TV's and appliances which get replaced when needed.

The home is direct oceanfront as shown. No house on OB has a private beach walkway and our listing doesn't state we have one. The beach walkway is about 50 feet to the side of the house as seen in the photos. Upon check-in, this Renter directly inspected the property and informed me that "everything was fine and going well" so this review comes as a surprise because I never received a single complaint from the tenant during the entire stay. If there was a cleaning issue reported it would have been corrected. We have since inspected the property and there is is no flood damage or any construction debris or old furniture other than a few broken chairs and 1 old bike which were placed outside for the hauling company pickup. All our past reviews have been excellent, so we're sry your experience of an odor in 1 room wasn't perfect. I'm not sure what caused this, but, as you state, "the rest of the house is fine". The photo's are 100% real, I took them myself on my cell phone, and the furniture is regularly replaced as needed. The home is also professionally cleaned after every rental. And, the rental price for this 7 bdrm oceanfront is very competitive.

Regarding the 2 specific "flaws" you mentioned, the freezer drawer runner frosted up a bit from being left open, that was easily corrected as was the outdoor BBQ grill. Otherwise it sounds like you had a great time being on the ocean at the High Dune Inn. Thanks again.
