This is a beautiful unit that features brand rich hardwood oak flooring and an inviting but fully stocked small kitchen; small but amazingly functional with all new appliances. Cooktop, oven, dishwasher and full refrigerator. We pride ourselves on being great hosts. Have a favorite beverage? We'll stock the fridge for you. You can easily cook an amazing meal with every tool at your disposal or walk down lamar to the Broken Spoke for a chicken fried steak or to Barley Swine for a meal worthy of a stellar Michelin rating from a James Beard award winning chef. This neighborhood is as Austin as it gets. Want to go downtown? You are 1 block away from the bus that takes you to the heart of all the action. Full laundry facilities are also available for the unit. At this residence you are a few blocks from the greenbelt and a short bike ride to Zilker park for all the festivities that Zilker park has to offer. This is not your standard short term rental. The furnishings are fantastic and not random stuff and you will feel right at home as our guests. We look forward to hosting you. We are also great hosts and will be available to provide you with additional suggestions on places to go, eat and see should you not already have a jam-packed schedule. We can even allow pets in certain circumstances. We have 3 dogs ourselves so we get it! Wireless internet, ATT UVerse TV all available. Fully furnished. Two true bedrooms with Queen beds and a sofa long enough to sleep most adults in the living.

We loved our stay. Austin and Stephanie made sure we had an iron "with no goo" and accommodated a very late check out. Great close quick beer and groceries suggestions.

Owner's Response: I personally run to zilker all the time from the property. The property address is posted and google maps can easily help you determine if our property meets your definition of walkable.

Comfortable and Convenient

We stayed a week in this house and found it to be very comfortable, clean and convenient. You are a short walk to multiple restaurants and only a short Uber from the many lively areas in Austin. We would highly recommend to a family of 2 to 4 people.

Great location!

I stayed at this location with a few friends in October 2015. This house is a duplex and we were in unit 1. The unit had 2 beds, one bath, very cozy, clean and accommodating. The only thing I would request is an extra mirror! There are 2 couches and even a blow up mattress, that we didn't utilize, but I believe it was a queen. The kitchen is small, but it had everything you needed and more! We used Uber quite a few times and never paid more than $5-6 to get somewhere, and it was a very busy weekend. There was another tenant staying next door, no issues with parking or noise. There are also a few restaurants and bars walking distance.

Cute, Cozy & Quiet

My dad and I came to Austin for 10 days for the birth of our granddaughter/niece, and this property was the perfect fit for us. I love the style of the place. The furniture and decor are very thoughtful and intentional, very Austin. The bedrooms have been redecorated since the photos that are currently on the VRBO website, and I think they are much better now than what is pictured!! It truly felt like a home away from home, down to the books and magazines on the shelves. Dad ended up reading one of the books while we were there - Turn Right at Machu Picchu - and it became a source of daily conversation for us. He even went to the half price bookstore around the corner and bought me a copy so we could read it together! :) The property is clean, quiet and right in the heart of a great area. Being able to park in a carport to keep the direct sun off of the car was an extra bonus.

Great place to stay in Austin!

The unit is well-furnished, very well-kept and comfortable. Austin, the owner, was very accommodating and helpful, even when we had a snag getting in the first night. We had friends who lived in the area, so this was the perfect way to be close to them and have some space to ourselves (with 2 kids).

Adorable, great neighborhood and clean!

We had a great stay in Austin at this house! There was great space in each bedroom (even enough room for a pack'n'play in one bedroom) and everything was well-decorated. The property was clean and well-maintained. I had a question, which Austin answered immediately during our stay, which was very helpful. The house is a quick drive to downtown Austin, which was very convenient! Thanks for the great stay!
