We booked this house for a last minute trip to see the mouse, the location was great but that’s the only positive! We booked on Monday and was to check in on Wednesday so basically 2 days notice. Check in was 4:00 at 3:30 I had to reach out and ask for gate code and key information and it took over 20 minutes to get a response. Once we got into the house it was dirty and looked as if someone lives there on a day to day. The fridge had old food and had not been cleaned in a good minute, with a very foul smell and the freezer slammed full, we could not put our stuff in there. The trash can was full and when we took the bag out it was disgusting. Upstairs the bathroom had a few cleanish towels available but the dirty basket had used towels in it. One of the twin size beds only had a blanket and pillow no sheets just bare mattress. The carpet has not been vacuumed or cleaned in a very long time. When I asked if they could have a cleaning crew come I was told no, that they need to hire new cleaners and that was not possible for our stay. I tried to request a refund from Vrbo and was offered a one night stay at a local hotel.
