About Jack Agnew
I'm a semi retired guy who was in the television and marketing/public relations industry and is now a professional character actor/singer on stage and I teach Marketing and Public Relations at a university in Boston, MA every Fall. My oldest daughter was married here in Key West and it's a special place for me as I hope it will be for you.
Jack Agnew purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Jack Agnew chose Old Town
I always had TAE (Truman Annex envy) when my two daughters and I were visitors and renters in Key West. I vowed I'd live here one day and when I sold my public relations firm in 1999, I bought a small two bedroom, one bath condo and five years later this much larger two bedroom, two bathroom cottage. I am in Key West at least six months a year and rent out my home when I am not in town.
What makes this Cottage unique
A Touch of Bermuda in Key West is my 'friend with benefits' as everything I want to see or do is within walking or biking distance. You have a pass to the nearby Ft. Zach beach and Alexa to give you the temperature and restaurant suggestions. One couldn't ask for more.

Everything was Great!!! We enjoyed our stay in Key West. Jack was very Hospitable It was very centrally located. I definitely would stay here again if I ever visit Key West again.
Great property in a great location!
This was our first trip to Key West in many years and this year, we took our two five-month old French Bulldogs for their first road trip and breach trip. The property in the Truman Annex provides convenient, walkable access to all the sites in Old Town as well as the Truman Waterfront Park. This park, only two blocks from the house, was a great space to walk and run our frenchies with other dogs and their humans. The house was fully stocked with all our practical needs and provided ample space for the two of us and our fidos. Jack, the proprietor, made sure that we had clear check-in directions and was flexible with our late check-in time. He touched base occasionally to see if we needed anything and was only a phone call or text away. I recommend this property for a visit to Key West, especially with pets.
Excellent as listed
Slice of Heaven in Key West
The location in Key West is perfect for walking to restaurants, shopping, and the beach. The Truman Annex is truly the best location in Key West, with Duval only 2 blocks away. The owner was very easy to work with, and quickly answered any questions we had. The cottage had a great layout with plenty of privacy & comfort. Beautiful garden, great location and safe environment makes the perfect spot! We hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you ... Jack for sharing your piece of paradise with our family!
Location, location! Quiet retreat, yet close to everything.
Great location in Truman Annex, beautiful area for any outdoor activity including quiet sunsets. Family and pet friendly with open parks, beach access, pool area. Quiet, yet in the heart of Key West. Close to great food and plenty of entertainment. A most pleasureable experience from booking, planning, to exiting. Looking forward to future trips.
I am always humbled when a guest gives my vacation home a good review. I know this is corny but I do always think of the Golden Rule..."Do onto other...." I travel a lot myself and note when an owner goes out of his or her way to make my visit as good as it can be. I feel that same obligation. They are spending money and time for a vacation and I am a partner in the process to do my best to have them enjoy the stay to the max. These particular guests were terrific and I do hope they return.
Everyone seems to agree that the Shipyard section of The Truman Annex is THE best place to stay in Key West. Duval Street is two blocks away and the best beach in Key West, Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park is about 800 yards in the other direction. Everything you want to see or do is within an easy walk.
