At the same time, we completely understand your frustration with the heat during your stay. You happened to visit during an exceptionally rare 93-degree stretch in Northern Michigan, which can certainly make homes without central air feel uncomfortable, especially when cooking. Because such hot weather is uncommon in the region, many homes were originally built without central air, but we recognize how important comfort is during those rare summer spikes. Your comments about central air and the smoke alarm going off are valuable and will be shared with ownership so that they can evaluate future improvements. We’re glad the rest of the property met your expectations, and we hope that in more typical Northern Michigan weather—which is much cooler and milder—you’ll find it far more enjoyable. We understand how frustrating it can be to have flies getting in, and while we know seasonal pests can be common in Northern Michigan, the openings allowing them inside should absolutely be addressed. We’ve passed this along to our property management team to identify and seal any gaps to prevent this from happening in the future. Your patience in handling the situation with Windex during your stay is greatly appreciated, but we know guests shouldn’t have to deal with this on their own. We also acknowledge the lack of a dishwasher and understand the inconvenience of having to wash dishes before use. We’ve shared this with the property owner to ensure dishware is thoroughly inspected and cleaned between guest stays. Additionally, your suggestion for better sweeping in the enclosed patio has been noted and communicated to housekeeping to ensure a more thorough job is done moving forward. It’s great to know that despite these inconveniences, you still enjoyed your stay and would recommend the property to others.
