The Whippoorwill Nest is nestled on a ridge near the end of a quiet private country road. This well maintained home includes many amenities for your home away from home! It is a three-story log cabin house with three bedrooms, three baths, two living rooms and a large kitchen nestled on 100+ acres. Over 4 miles of hiking trails take you on a scenic walk or snow shoe adventure through the pine trees and ridge top that has a 30 mile view of beautiful Jackson County forest land. Access to a large parking lot for snowmobile trailers that gives you quick access to the Black River Trail Riders snowmobile trail that runs through a portion of the property. Only a couple miles off Hwy 12/27, close to Hatfield and Black River Falls.

Big space that accommodates a good amount of people and has an amazing view. Good hiking trails nearby and not far from Black River Falls downtown area.This was perfect for my friends and I to gave a birthday and gaming weekend. Wish I could give more stars.

Christmas at the Whipporwill

We had such a great experience at the Whipporwill. The house has everything we could have needed. The owner was so good to us! We don’t know how many more years we will have my Mom so it was amazing to have her spend quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The view was so beautiful!

Why they chose this property

It has a great location for lots of outdoor activities. Has access to the snowmobile trail and is close to the ATV trails and Lake Wazee and Lake Arbutus.

What makes this property unique

Most guests rave about the view from the deck. A summer guest called it a bird watchers paradise. We are located close enough to Black River Falls for the necessities, but far enough outside of town for the peace and tranquility.
