Why Rob Hutchison chose East

We love the mountain views and friendly local people and community, plus there are so many great restaurants to try and shopping galore! Our cabin is smack dab between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg on the Spur of Parkway 441, so it's perfect for access to the entire community!

What makes this cabin unique

We love the privacy and openness of our cabin, which has lots of windows for mountain views.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was our third trip to the Smokies and this was the nicest place to stay so far. The view from the deck is spectacular. The cabin is beautiful and well appointed. The hot tub was the selling point though. We will definitely recommend coming here to our friends.

List of Pros and Cons

  • 4 of 5

Pros:_____________________________________________________________________________________

Nice view framed with trees for good pictures

Good cabin

Clean and smelled clean

Hot tub was clean

Large bathroom

Had all pots, pans, dishes, glasses and silverware that we needed.

Pool table

Washer and dryer combo

Internet was fast and worked perfectly.

Whirlpool tub in the bedroom. We didn't use it.

King size bed was fairly comfortable.

Nicely decorated

Dishwasher

Rocking chairs on porch were comfortable.

Convenient to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg

Cons______________________________________________________________________________________

Sheets on bed didn't fit . Gave up on trying to keep fitted sheet on.

Ice maker doesn't work, but ice trays were in the freezer.

Door to back porch did not latch. Had to keep it lock to keep it closed.

TV's were both small, but I guess it depends on what your use to.

Pool table area little small.

Didn't care for shower stall. Small closed in and no light.

Refrigerator was a little noisy at times, but not all the time.

Challenging drive in.

Our favorite cabin in the Smokies!!

  • 5 of 5

This is our second time staying at Dancing Bear, and we just love it! Our favorite thing is the view. We are from TN and have stayed in many cabins over the years, big and small, and none have the view of Dancing Bear! The deck is perfect for relaxing. The cabin is comfy and cozy. We love being out of the hustle and bustle of both Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg to enjoy the actual mountains. The drive up is a little challenging in rainy weather, but everyone needs a little mountain adventure, right?! Our only wishes to make it a perfect stay would be a few nicer pots and pans in the kitchen. The ice maker was not working for our stay, and the couch is not exactly comfortable....but that view!! (We learned long ago to pack a skillet from home when traveling to enjoy lazy breakfasts.). We will definitely be back to Dancing Bear. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us!!

Owner's Response: Tricia, Thank you for your review on Dancing Bear. We do listen to our guests reviews and have replaced the Sleeper sofa and matching chair. We have also replaced the pots and pans and put a new microwave in. The freezer will have a new ice maker as soon as the part is located. We hope you will continue to stay in our beautiful cabin the next time you visit the Smokies. Thanks, Rob and Karris

Quiet, Peaceful, and Beautiful Views

  • 5 of 5

We couldn't have asked for more. The cabin was spotless and smelt freshly cleaned when we arrived. The hot tub overlooking the mountains was by far our favorite part. We ended up barely leaving the cabin we loved it so much! Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice relaxed vacation in the Smokies.

We absolutely loved our cabin! It was so nice and very quiet. The internet was extremely fast which was great because we were able to relax and watch Netflix. We couldn't have asked for a better stay! We will definitely be back.

wonderful little cabin

  • 5 of 5

22nd wedding anniversary! We got married in Gatlinburg at the Log Cabin Chapel in 1995. My Wife and I return every year to celebrate our years together. This was the best cabin we have stayed in over the years. It's small and simple, yet has everything we needed plus a beautiful view. It's in a good location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We plan on staying here again and would recommend it to others. Also, It was a big bang for the buck!
