About this property
Modern Lakehouse-Chalet: Dock, Beach, Bar, +
Welcome to our family lakehouse located on Hadlock - a serene private lake in the Adirondacks. 3200sqft, 6BRs, 2.5 baths with 100ft of lakefront, a NEW hot tub, a private dock, stone fire pit, and beach. Equipped with luxury Adirondack furnishings, a wrap around viewing deck, grill, indoor and outdoor dining, full tavern (huge bar, pool table, shuffleboard, games), two living rooms, fully equipped kitchen, an office, kayaks, and much more. Perfect for year round vacations with tons of space!
The lakehouse is huge with lots of space for everyone -over 3200 square foot of modern living space with forced air (AC and heat) and the entire space built with lake views in mind. There are a total of 1 King Bed, 4 Queen Beds, 2 Full Beds, and a Futon
You'll enter through the sun room office, including two desk & monitor setups, along with my grandmothers vintage upright piano.
Around the corner on the ground floor is the combined open space for the living room (indoor gas fireplace, 58" Smart TV & sound system), custom Adirondack dining room set, and fully equipped kitchen - perfect for family holiday cooking! Check out the Wolf stove! Also on this floor is the master bedroom with a luxury king bed set, master bath with jacuzzi tub & standing shower, and the laundry room with full sized washer / dryer. Stepping outside from this level is a full wrap around deck with outdoor patio furniture for dining and lounging and a new stainless steel propane grill.
Upstairs is the second full bath, one queen bedroom with locally crafted Adirondack bedset, a railroad fouton room that accesses another bedroom with two queen bedsets.
Downstairs is where the real fun happens - a full Adirondack styled tavern built out with a huge custom wood bar, half bath, slate pool table, shuffleboard, dartboard, and second living room with another 58" Smart TV and sound system. There is a queen room with stowable crib, and the last room with two double beds.
Walking out from downstairs you access the back patio with outdoor propane fireplace and furniture. There is a custom stone firepit with locally built Adirondack chairs and tables, a private sandy beach with umbrellas and beach chairs for your use, and a dock. There are two two person kayaks and one paddleboard included at the property for your use. Of course use of them is at your own risk (as is swimming) as there are no lifeguards on duty.
Hadlock itself is great for all things lake life - boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming, and fishing (including ice fishing). But the lakehouse is minutes from Lake George and the area has an infinite amount of fun things to do year round. Skiers and Snowboarders paradise with several mountains nearby (Gore, Hickory & West Mountain).
For context: The area has shopping outlets, public golf courses, tennis, bike trails, hiking trails, great restaurants, historical sites, race tracks (Saratoga Race Track is 30 min away with Saratoga town being beautiful to visit). Gore mountain (skiing) is 35 min, West Mountain (skiing) is 25 min, Killington is 45 Min, For the kids there is The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom( 10 Min.) and the Great Escape indoor Water Park! The lakehouse is less than 4 miles to Adirondack bar and grill which allows parking and access to miles of snowmobile trails.
Guests will have access to the entire space!

We all enjoyed our stay here, the house was just like the pictures in the listing and it was very clean. The little beach was a great place to hang out! The house was big enough to accommodate the group we had. Would definitely recommend to other people!
Had a great time spending quality time with family at Matt's lovely home. Everything was clean and equipped as listed. The location is very quiet and Matt is a great host. He responds quickly to any questions or concerns.Joe Z.
This house was absolutely perfect for our needs. Family traveled from all over the country to attend my father's funeral and this house provided everything we needed and then some. Plenty of space for everyone and the Bar and games gave us well needed distraction during a rainy day! Some kayaked in the mornings. Some had Irish coffee! Some slept in. We lost power the second night just as some members of our crew were arriving. We located candles and sat around the large dining table telling stories about Dad. He would have loved everything about that. We saw Eagles, deer, fish and made Smores at the Fire Pit .... It was serene and peaceful and just plain perfect. Thank you, Matt for the exceptional experience. We hope to visit again.
This was a perfect quiet get away looking over headlock pond. Just far away from the hustle and bustle of route 9 but yet 10 min from the outlets and 15 min from beautiful downtown lake goeorge. This home has everything to keep the family entertained especially when the weather was all rain. Downstairs bar and game room was a blast kids were actually having fun with out electronics. House has a great kitchen setup so cooking is convenient and your not searching for that one pan that is needed. Any issues and the owner was right on top of it great communication!! I can not stress enough how clean the houseis, just perfection!!
Matt's house was perfect for our diverse family of 13. It is spacious, well stocked, quiet, entertaining and completely functional. I am a neat freak, so I gave 4 out of 5 for cleanliness b/c my standards are very high in this area. The kids loved the game room, the hot tub was efficient and clean, linens were plentiful, and the pond quiet and serene. The deck wraps around the entire back of the house which is facing the beautiful scenery, and we spent many nights enjoying cooking and dining together given the vast space and layout of the kitchen/dining area and deck. I would suggest getting life jackets for the kayaks, or adding that to the description because we weren't prepared with life jackets, so did not feel comfortable going on them. Overall, the house was great and we had a lovely time!
