. Thank you for your review. As promised, I have workers replacing the oceanside deck and steps. Yes, the price for my off season rentals is nice. I will be changing this policy next year as people do not realize that they are getting my house for half price. Older couples rent my house and spend much time inside finding actually creating flaws -- too much time on their hands. Their adult children want the latest and greatest entertainment technology huge wide screen tvs on the wall and the fastest internet. Unfortunately for them, this is a beach house. They really should go out and enjoy the beach. I try my best to correct any problems that might happen but am reliant on information from them and the ability to get local talent to fix the problem. Most complaints are exaggerated. I am 66 and can sleep in any bed comfortably. The house may have some stains on the rugs but I am not overwhelmed and because I am there i can have them cleaned. So, rather than deeply discounting my rates next year, I have decided to only slightly reduce my off season rates on future rentals and concentrate on more rug washings and maintenance. I am really upset when people falsely accuse me of something that is not true and , of course , this is a business, and I cannot say many things that I would like to say.For , example, in the last review after you the tenant accused me of many things that were quite untrue. I would have liked to call her a liar, but I cannot.There was a hurricane before her stay and I had the cleaner steam clean whatever blew in through the sliders. The house was clean. It was the end of season and I do not doubt there were some stains on the rugs. The problem with getting a rug cleaner is that he only comes during the work week for whole house cleaning, the rugs are wet, and you have to be careful not to walk on the with sandy feet until the dry. So, next year I will raise the rates to do more cleaning and bring in less needy people. Thank you for you review.

A review is a historical review of all the pros and cons of your stay. It must be accurate and provide any information of interactions between the tenant and landlord. It is not a means of punishing the landlord for failure to pay blood money unnecessarily. Reading your review, I am really upset. Your allegations are untrue as were the other tenant who did not get free money. BLACK MOLD!!! I was there the day after your stay. There were black stains on the vents. It was not black mold. Mold smells. The whole house should have smelled musty and dirty. My house in the Outer Banks did not have mold. The shades that you destroyed had remnants from the ocean, adhered there by tenants leaving the sliders and windows open with the shades down. I have just experienced mold after the Tropical Storm that hit NJ. In earlier years, I have experienced mold from a water heater failure in Virginia. In these cases, there was mold. The smell is everywhere immediately. Mold grows exponentially immediately. You would see it immediately and smell it immediately. This was not the case in Nags Head. Dirt from the supply hoses made black stains on the vents. This was not mold and it wiped off immediately. Both you and the previous tenant that, complaining after their stay, wanted money, and are the only people that have ever complained about mold. You were informed 4 times that sheets and towels were not provided and you did nothing. You were given the address and asked again on the day of rental. Jennifer does a very good job of cleaning the house. She cleans the living room, bedrooms, baths and the kitchen And, As I say in the contract, call, she will take care of all deficiencies. She will not wash your dishes. She will not get on a ladder to wipe the soot off the AC vents. You must call me for all of this. Additionally, as I say in the contract, you must call me immediately to correct your issues, not email me after your stay, asking for money, rather than contacting at a time when I might remediate your issues.

The first communication that I had with this tenant was that they smelled burning plastic at the icemaker. I told them to unplug it, which they did. I inspected the icemaker and plugged it back in. It is working perfectly. They now claim that they had problems with the internet which I was unaware. i am here at this house now. There is no problem with the internet. On Wednesday afternoon of their stay they said that they had a problem with the refrigerator and wanted money. I told them that if they had a problem they should have contacted me immediately. I asked the cleaners to set the refrigerator back on 3, which they did. Two weeks of subsequent tenants had no problem with the refrigerator. I am here now and have no problem with the refrigerator. It is working perfectly. Yes, there is rust on the intake vents of the AC. That is because tenants open the windows and doors and the salt air rusts the grate.I am tired of replacing them every year. No, there is no mold anywhere. Yes, the porch screen are broken. I fixed them pre season but by July, some were broken. Even more are broken now. I will repair them again in the off season. I offer a oceanside house for a reasonable price.It is clean and air conditioned. The kitchen is well stocked. I try to attend to cosmetic repairs when the house is not rented. Sometimes the repairs have to be postponed. I will always call a repairman if you contact me. I will never give you money if you extort me.
