Great spot for our family attending a memorial. Thank goodness for the kitchen because the area doesn't offer a lot of restaurant choices. Very quiet with a great view of the Ausable River.

Best family vacation!!

We planned a family vacation for 9 of us ages 6-60.. this place was just as advertised!! The location is great.. 20 minutes to Lake Placid, NY. Only a few minutes to Wilmington beach and we tubed the Ausable river from right across the street!! This place felt like our home.. had a great time and the host was very responsive with any questions we had!! I would highly recommend!!

Summer fun in the ADK

We recently stayed at the Mountain View Loj overlooking the majestic Adirondack Mountains & Ausable River and had an incredible experience. Our group of 7, including another family, found the house to be spacious and comfortable, with plenty of room for even larger parties. The location was perfect, near the Jay Covered Bridge, which provided a day full of fun with fishing, swimming, and exploring. The basement/game room was a hit with everyone, offering darts, table tennis, and air hockey. The outdoor area truly made the house special, featuring double porches, a large deck, and a BBQ area that was perfect for our gatherings. We couldn't have asked for a better setting. The host was attentive and responsive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities required for a comfortable stay. We are already looking forward to making this an annual trip to the ADK and would definitely book the Mountain View Loj again!

Dirty

Nice house with updated kitchen and bathrooms, but not cleaned well. There was a dirty bra under my dresser from past renter indicating that the area was not cleaned. The dust was bad for our asthma. The toilet had a ring and needed the handle giggled to stop running. There were receipts for monthly pest treatment which is good, but the number of dead flies in the bedrooms was quite disturbing. I never saw an alive fly and we left no doors or windows open. After 4 days there more than I wished to count. The pots were rusted and in bad shape. Nice dishes but many chipped. One knife was so rusty it wouldn’t be safe to use. If it wasn’t for the dead flies, lack of cleaning, and poor cooking supplies it could be five star.

Our five star reviews speak for themselves. There is nothing worse than a guest that has a laundry list of issues during their stay, yet never reaches out to their host one single time to make things right. Some people you can never please. The house is cleaned from top to bottom for each guest, just ask anyone who has stayed with us. Please don’t let one nasty person keep you from booking with us!
