Walk everywhere from this flat-the heart of Haut Marais-close all sites!
Everyone is talking about “le Haut Marais” in Paris – the center of creativity and style and home to Paris Fashion Week four times a year. This area of central Paris has taken off during the last decade with artists & galleries, boutique shopping for just about anything, great local restaurants and 18th century mansions & the most interesting small museums.
This flat is located on the quiet part of rue Charlot, yet steps away from rue de Bretagne which is the center of the neighborhood. All the the best boutiques, galleries and restaurants are located around this center point.
Recently renovated to the highest standards, the apartment has been designed for maximum comfort and relaxation. The look is modern and open with special touches including the old exposed beams, beautiful solid oak parquet floors and antique wooden doors.

HISTORY AND ART
The Marais is one of the oldest areas of the city and is full of historical sites and architecture. It is a very safe at all hours and has the added advantage of shops being open on Sundays which is rare in Paris. Only a 4 minute walk from the Picasso Museum, a must see. The newly renovated Carreau de Temple is just around the corner and a center for art, music, theatre and food events which is all part of the great entertainment in the neighborhood.
Be sure to visit the Marché des Enfants Rouges. It’s the oldest covered market in Paris and has a large selection of vendors selling organic fruits and vegetables, wines, fish, meats, pastries, and delicious cuisine from around the world. There are also ten open air restaurants in the market offering cuisine from around the world.
We are in the heart of the fashion and design district with many independent boutiques, vintage shops and well known houses. The best people watching in the world happens in January, March, June and September when the fashion world takes over the Haut Marais for Fashion Week.

An English and American family, we moved to Paris 14 years ago and have never regretted it. Our work takes us frequently out of the country as well as our latest project, a country home near Avignon. We are in love with this fascinating, beautiful city and so happy to share it with you during your stay in our home.
Tam purchased this Apartment in 2004
Why Tam chose Enfants-Rouges
This was the first apartment that we rented when we moved to Paris in 2002 and luckily the owners offered to sell it to us. Since then, we have seen rue Charlot transform into the best place to be in Paris. While just a few minutes walk from many top tourist destinations, our area retains a village atmosphere where Parisians from all over the city come to hang out on the weekends.
What makes this Apartment unique
There are so many things to do as you are right in the center of Paris. Our typical weekend is go the markets, shop the boutiques, people watch at the cafes and then cook up an amazing meal for friends. Do not leave Paris without having a crepe at the Marché des Enfants Rouges next door!

Our hosts were generous, thoughtful and truthful on VRBO. Their dinner recommendations were spot on - 3 for 3.
A treasure in the heart of Paris.
We so loved our stay here and its perfect in every detail. A delightful cooks kitchen and the owners have thought of your every need. Master bedroom and bath beautiful and so quiet on such a lovely street. We loved the restaurants within walking distance and could always get cabs when we were going further away. It was such a happy warm apartment to come home to after long days of walking and exploring Paris.
You'll love this apartment! It's wonderful location, walk to market, food and shops right out your door. Tam was a wonder host and we truly enjoyed having so much space for our family of 4 to stay. The king bed was super comfortable. The kids slept on these awesome bed cubes which they both found to be comfortable. We cooked some meals, which worked out great. Cooking in this kitchen is like cooking at home. The pots and pans are not cheap, and there was plenty of dishes, cookware for all our needs. Our first time in Paris - will not be our last. We'll be staying here again, the next time we are in town. Thanks for making your home so welcoming! Much Gratitude,
The Peloquin 4
Perfectly Central Haven in Paris
This apartment is beautifully appointed & Tam was a very responsive host.
Thank you Tam for sharing your home with us & for all the Very helpful advice upfront.
We had a wonderful stay in your quiet haven in the crazy, busy City of Lights!
Wow! Great place...fabulous location!
If you want an awesome Parisian apartment that's just a walk through the vibrant streets of the les Marais district to major sites and museums... this is the place. Although a tad tight for our family of 4 - mom, dad, 20 year old and 16 year old kids - we spent very little time lounging in the comfortable flat because nearly everything we wanted to see or do was within walking distance: Pompideau museum, Musee des arts Metiers, Picasso Museum, Norte Dame, Pantheon, Louvre, Seine strolls, shopping... we even hoofed it to the Arc de Triumph and back. Took Uber to other locations, and a car was there in 5 minutes. Plenty of cafes, cheese shops, boulangeries just steps away. We even got a broken iPhone fixed within 30 minutes at a shop that was only a 5 minute walk from the flat! Nice that the flat's water closet is separate from the shower bathroom! Washer and dryer for those in need of doing a load or two. Great maximization of space. Host was quick to communicate, as was concierge. Would totally recommend this space to all!
Absolutely fabulous apartment in amazing Paris neighborhood
We had the trip of our lifetime staying in Paris for 10 days at this fabulous apartment in the Maris neighborhood. Our group included three generations of women,, my daughter and granddaughter slept in the second bedroom which was small but we made the most of the master bedroom, and couch as additional spaces to sleep and organize ourselves. The apartment is beautiful, located on a second floor with elevator and has all the amenities, a spacious central living room and fanatastic kitchen, and lovely bathrooms. The neighborhood has everything you would want for a true Paris experience-boulangerie, cheese and meat shops, fresh market with vegetables, fruits and glorious flowers, a wine shop, and of course, cafes and shops on all blocks, and several museums including the Picasso museum which is so special. We walked everywhere and used the easily accessible metro stops to explore all of Paris.
And our hosts Tam and Martin are fantastic and made this trip all the more special with their advice and guidance on restaurants and other useful tips for enjoying the trip. We enjoyed several of their restaurant recommendations all of which were exceptional and delicious.
We would book this apartment every time and highly recommend it. Hope to be back someday soon! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!
