Marie Laveau conducted her voodoo rituals on the banks of Bayou St. John and the magic is still in the air. Only 15 minutes by car to the French Quarter or Superdome, you can always opt to catch the street car, which is a short stroll down the bayou to deliver you to your downtown destinations We are close to popular neighborhood restaurants, groceries, wine shops and other amenities of the Esplanade Ridge in Historic Bayou St. John that makes this particular Mid City neighborhood one of the most popular places to live in New Orleans.
Directly across from us, City Park offer an array of outdoor activities including walking/jogging trails, tennis, off street cycling paths, and playgrounds for the kids. So explore the expansive Park, bike along the new system of trails leading all the way to Lake Ponchatrain, or take our canoe out for a romantic sunset paddle. Get ready for your night on the town with a sunset cocktail on our front porch. Or just relax on the balcony in one of our hammocks, and depending on the season, catch site of pelicans, herons, egrets or the friendly ducks feeding along the water’s edge. Featured in Bird Watching Magazine, over 280 species of birds have been spotted in the Park each year. Or get called to the downtown food, music and bar scene. We truly have the best of both worlds.
