Lovely, spacious home and garden in a great neighborhood.
We throughly enjoyed our stay in this well appointed, spacious home. The neighborhood was quiet with beautiful historic homes. The garden was private and filled with fruit trees, a great spot to relax. Would definitely love to stay here again!
We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, Lisa! We hope you can visit again~
Even better than expected
We were two couples and one pet staying in this beautiful house. It is located in a safe, attractive and walkable neighborhood that was less than ten-dollar Uber ride to the French Quarter. It has off street parking for two vehicles and a cozy courtyard for relaxing. Coffee shop is conveniently located in the corner of the street. The owner was easy to work with and always accessible. We highly recommend these accommodations to travelers to New Orleans and would certainly use it again ourselves.
Thanks so much, Irina! Glad you all had a nice visit. I hope you can visit New Orleans again. Thanks again, Mya
Bridge Tournament March 2015
Rather than sharing a room at the Marriott or Sheraton on Canal, my bridge partner and I decided to have separate rooms and baths at this apartment. The accomodations were nice, clean and well appointed. The owners were wonderful to work with. I felt safe taking my run/walk before dawn in this neighborhood, then heading over to the coffee house located very near the apartment. It was less expensive to park the car and take cabs to and from the tournament than pay the going rate for parking at the hotels.
I would recommend this property to anyone and look forward to returning there myself.
Thanks so much! We loved meeting you both, glad the rental worked well, & hope you can stay again!
Better Than a Hotel for Business
Myself and 5 colleagues stayed here for almost a week while attending a conference. Sleeping space was a bit tight with 6 adults, but do-able. The neighborhood was awesome- felt very suburban, quiet, good restaurants around- and it was very easy to get downtown to the convention center. Mya was very easy to communicate and work with throughout the process. The property has tons of character and made me want to stay there forever.
Wow, thanks, Jackie! I am so glad the rental worked out well! I know for 6 individuals (non-couples) that leaves 3 on air beds, but glad it worked out. We also just replaced all of our air beds incase they needed replacing. We hope your chemistry conference was interesting, & so glad you enjoyed our home, neighborhood & city!
Winter Blahs Getaway
Upon arrival we weren't sure what to expect. Very first time in the "Big Easy". Turned out to be the best vacation. This rental fit us perfectly. This is and older established home. Great rooms that accommodated us to a tee. Beds were super comfortable. The owners were actually there when we arrived and treated us like family right off the bat. It's in a very quiet neighborhood and safety was never in question. Cute cafe on the corner and local restaurants too. Not far from the French Quarter. We would DEFINITELY recommend this cute home to rent. Thank you Mya for everything. I think the only thing to suggest is for the owner to get a guest book for the house so we could have written something for the owner to look back on from their guests.
Thank you so much for the nice review! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, our home & our great neighborhood. Thanks, too, for the great idea to have a guest book, & also a book for outing ideas, etc., from us, & for our guests to contribute to. We hope you can visit again!
Great Stay. I would recommend!
This place was great. There were little New Orleans touches around the condo (like Anne Rice books and a record player with jazz records) that made it feel like an authentic New Orleans home without being cheesy. The location was perfect, too. Right off a main, beautiful historic street with lots of places to eat and things to do and see. I was able to get to the French Quarter in 10 minutes in my car if I wanted, and it was only a mile from a major museum with beautiful walkways and picture opportunities. The driveway is very tight. I have an Impala and the mirrors almost touched the fence and house on both sides. So if you drive a huge truck I would suggest coming in a different car. The backyard space is small but enough to let a dog go to the restroom or to sit out and drink coffee or have a lunch. The parking is great but you CANNOT fit more than two cars back there, and the puzzle to get them in and out of the tight parking and driveway is a task, but not impossible. Its great just to have the off-street parking. I met some of the neighbors and they were very pleasant. Great neighborhood to walk down with children or a dog to look at the history of the area. Mya was wonderful. I called her several times after booking and she was always pleasant and nice to work with. She answered all my questions and helped me when I needed it. She really made me feel welcome in the condo. The only downside is the living room TV is small and in a very awkward location in the room. But considering we didn’t watch it much it wasn’t a big deal. I would stay here again.
Glad you enjoyed your stay, Sara! I should have mentioned the grass is hearty enough to drive, park or turn around on, not just the concrete. Thanks so much for your feedback and review!
