About Heidi Welsch

We live in Minnesota with our teenaged children and two big dogs. We love to kayak, hike, fish, cook as a family and just hang out. The ranch is our dream home for retirement and we are so happy to share it with you.

Heidi Welsch purchased this estate in 2011

Why Heidi Welsch chose Estes Park

Christopher used to live in Tahoe and loves mountain life. Heidi has traveled to Estes Park with a close friend over the years and fell in love with the area. We have looked at properties over the years and this summer we just fell in love with the ranch. We knew we found something very special.

What makes this estate unique

We can feel ourselves relax as we wind down the road to the ranch. We feel like we are in the middle of the Rocky Mountain National Forest yet we are 5 minutes from hiking or shopping with all of the local activities at our fingertips. We enjoy the rustic charm with modern amenities. It is the perfect setting for gatherings.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted you to know--We stayed in your beautiful estate the week of July 14 - 20. Now we are back in Iowa with today a temp of 103. Wish I was back in Colorado with the temps warm, but not so hot. We are very short of rain and I enjoyed the rain every day.

Your future retirement home is worth every penny that we paid. I almost wished we had horses. Someone in our group will write a great review on your site.

Highly Recommended!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing trip and the house was better than we even expected (and had high expectations from all the reviews)! We ended up cooking dinners in vs. going into town to eat because the patio was so nice and weather was perfect. Had elk and turkey visitors in the yard each day. We highly recommend this rental for anyone's trip to Estes Park area!

Family Fun

  • 5 of 5

In lieu of a 50th anniversary party we opted for a family vacation with our two children and their families. We rented this wonderful ranch house and guest house at Estes Park for a week. The accommodations were excellent - roomy, comfortable and beautifully decorated.

Each day we did activities that would entertain 5 children ages 4 to 10 and also enjoyed by the adults. We made most of our meals at the ranch house which saved on the budget. Rocky Mt. Natl. Park is wonderful and we spent several days exploring the park. We would highly recommended renting this ranch/guest house for any occasion for any group . You will not be disappointed.

Our Stay at "The Ranch"

  • 5 of 5

June 1-8, 2017, we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary a bit early and had our children with their spouses and our grandchildren all gathered together with us as well! We were expecting to share in a beautiful experience in the Rockies and enjoy The Ranch. Our expectations were exceeded! A lovely time was had by all 18 of us! There were a few items missing that had been promised in the ad, but was remedied immediately when notified. The jacuzzi was needing a change of water due to pollen falling into it and that was remedied as soon as we reported it. So we can't complain!! Beautiful cabins, as we used both on the property. Don't leave your car doors unlocked as we did! A bear stole in when we were away in the day and opened the unlocked doors. He/she chewed a seat belt receiver, which was red. He/she probably thought it was a candy bar wrapper! Other than that, he/she didn't ruin anything else! We don't have bear insurance, but can repair it ourselves with the proper part. The whole experience was wonderful and made us happy we had decided to use The Ranch for our celebration with our family. Elk arrived and we loved it. A deer doe and fawn sauntered through as well. We were visited by a bear, but didn't see him/her!! So wildlife is abundant. Thanks so much for making our special celebration a success. I have many pictures of happy days spent there at the cabins. Loved the fire pit, jacuzzi, deck and the large dining room where our entire family sat around the table and extended out into the deck for meals and just hanging out!! Thank you so much. I would recommend The Ranch and adjoining cabin to everyone.

Spacious, lovely, relaxing family vacation

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 adults and 4 children (ages 15, 12, 6, and 3) loved staying at the ranch and guest houses. The homes were roomy with lots of outdoor space and a relaxing hot tub. We enjoyed elk, deer, and many types of birds visiting the backyard. The homes are close to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park so there was plenty to do. The owners have a beautifully maintained property filled with rustic charm and modern conveniences. We loved our visit and our family rated it as a favorite.
