About Heidi Welsch

We live in Minnesota with our teenaged children and two big dogs. We love to kayak, hike, fish, cook as a family and just hang out. The ranch is our dream home for retirement and we are so happy to share it with you.

Heidi Welsch purchased this estate in 2011

Why Heidi Welsch chose Front Range

Christopher used to live in Tahoe and loves mountain life. Heidi has traveled to Estes Park with a close friend over the years and fell in love with the area. We have looked at properties over the years and this summer we just fell in love with the ranch. We knew we found something very special.

What makes this estate unique

We can feel ourselves relax as we wind down the road to the ranch. We feel like we are in the middle of the Rocky Mountain National Forest yet we are 5 minutes from hiking or shopping with all of the local activities at our fingertips. We enjoy the rustic charm with modern amenities. It is the perfect setting for gatherings.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just wanted you to know--We stayed in your beautiful estate the week of July 14 - 20. Now we are back in Iowa with today a temp of 103. Wish I was back in Colorado with the temps warm, but not so hot. We are very short of rain and I enjoyed the rain every day.

Your future retirement home is worth every penny that we paid. I almost wished we had horses. Someone in our group will write a great review on your site.

The property is in great location for visiting Rocky Mountain National Park. With two fully equipped kitchens meals were fun and easy. Lots of space inside and out. Beautiful views.

Great vacation stay!

  • 5 of 5

The Ranch Estate was the perfect accomodation for our family vacation to

Estes Park, CO and Rocky Mountain National Park. There were fifteen of us

in all, 7 adults and 8 children (ages 4 - 14). The ample bedrooms,

bathrooms and living spaces in both the Ranch House and the Guest House

provided plenty of room for all of us and made our stay very comfortable.

The kitchens were beautiful and well equipped which we really appreciated as

we cooked most of our meals "back at the Ranch" and enjoyed eating them

together on the patio and decks. The location was perfect with downtown

Estes Park being just minutes away to the east and Rocky Mountain National

Park minutes away to the west. The property has great mountain views and

having the extra running room allowed the grandchildren plenty of places to

play and explore. Every morning and night we were visited by elk and deer

families as they walked through the property. The kids loved the hot tub!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the mountains and taking in all that the

area offers, including several visits to hike and explore in Rocky Mountain

National Park, horseback riding, white water rafting and shopping in

beautiful downtown Estes Park. We also took the Trail Ridge Road through the

Park to Grand Lake which was an amazing drive. The mountain vistas are

spectacular! We ended each day having dinner at the Ranch and laughing and

sharing our stories of the day.

The owners, Heidi and Christopher, were great to work with and responded

very quickly to any inquiries we had. We had a wonderful stay at the Ranch

Estate and have already recommended it to others. It is especially great if

you have a large group to accommodate. We hope to return again some day!

Thanks for a great time!

Wonderful accomodations!!

  • 5 of 5

We booked both houses for our family (16 adults). Both properties were awesome! The Grandparents slept in the main house and the younger adults in the quest house. During the days we went hiking, horseback riding, golfing, fishing, shopping, etc. (very convenient being so close to the National Park) Then, we would reconvene at the main house for dinner - each couple took turns cooking. The big kitchen, dining room and covered porch worked perfect for our meals. We also played games, cards and did puzzles in that same area. When we were all packing up to leave, many times I heard "best family vacation ever!"

I would definitely recommend these properties and hope to stay there a again, soon.

Fantastic

  • 5 of 5

My family had the best vacation ever at the Ranch House. The view was beautiful, everyone had plenty of space, the areas for being together were terrific

We hope to be able to go back again some time. The owners did a great job keeping in touch with us if questions arose.

Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

Although close to the west end of town, we were pleasantly surprised to hear very little traffic noise. The main house and guest house are beautiful and nicely appointed. BEDS ARE COMFORTABLE! We especially loved the covered deck with its large dining table and chairs and adjacent fire ring for s' mores. Heidi, the owner, was very available and accommodating. We would love to return!
