Outstanding property in the Ocean Tower of the Hilton Waikoloa Resort. Fantastic amenities and well-appointed room. Professional communication with property manager and seamless check-in process at the front desk. I will definitely return!
This room is unlike the rest of the resort. I switched rooms part way through my stay (conference booking) and was sorry to leave such a luxurious room. It was one of the nicest resort rooms I have ever stayed in . The kids loved the stay and were constantly entrigued with their surroundings. Property manager was excellent. Not a single issue. Great find!
Overall, the resort was nice, though almost too big. The Hilton breakfast buffet was a complete rip off (56 a person for cold eggs, lukewarm breakfast meats, etc). Not a lot of places to eat within the resort, but “Nui” was great. The “partial” ocean view only applied if on a mid to upper level floor. We checked in during mid afternoon and the room they gave us provided a partial ocean view obstructed by treetops and adjacent buildings. The process to switch rooms, even early on, was not convenient, so we didn’t. The Hilton concierge staff were rude and not helpful. The ocean Tower was far away from the main lobby and walking to it was actually faster than taking the tram. Parking was very expensive…. Hilton charges 50 a day to Park and it’s not convenient to get to one’s car.I would probably stay here again, but it wouldn’t be at the top of my list as far as recommending to others. The room itself was very nice and the resort is beautiful, but for what Hilton charges for everything within the resort, it could be a lot better.
