About this property
Spacious home w/outdoor sauna near bars, eateries
Feel at home in our spacious craftsman in North Portland's Overlook neighborhood. Lovely and walkable area, close to restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and Adidas campus. Built in 1909, home retains beautiful vintage character with modern comforts and sits on a large yard with a barrel sauna. Easy access to I-5, Max trains and bus line.
Great spot for families, friends, or business travelers.
The property is shared with a separate apartment where your hosts, Colin & Holly reside.
This home is located in a family friendly walkable neighborhood just north of downtown. Near bars, restaurants, parks, a dispensary, and the Adidas campus - you are only a short 2 minute walk to great local spots.
The house is situated just above the street. A stone staircase takes you up to your private porch. The front door opens to a formal foyer and staircase up to the 2nd floor. High ceilings and an open floor plan on the main floor include a large living room, well-stocked kitchen and south facing dining room lined with windows and plants. Main floor bathroom has ample space with a large tiled shower and separate soaking tub.
Kitchen includes counter top toaster oven, full size appliances, microwave, French press, coffee maker and electric kettle. Dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware are provided. The kitchen is also stocked with all basic essentials, roasted ground coffee, and a selection of teas.
Large master bedroom (queen bed) with it's own en suite, and smaller bedroom (full bed) are located upstairs, each with their own skylight (including the bathroom!). Bedroom on main floor (queen bed) is located off the dining area.
Backyard Sauna requires instruction from the hosts prior to use. Each booking includes one complimentary visit per week. Additional sauna use is $10 per).
Parking is not a problem on our street and there is almost always a spot directly in front of the house, it is free, and no permit is required.
The property is shared with a tiny house in the back yard and a separate apartment, with its own entrance, in the basement of the main house where hosts, Colin & Holly reside.
Guests will have access to the front porch, main floor, top floor and (with request for access) laundry room in the basement. Front porch, back deck and yard are available to guests - back patio, yard and laundry roomare shared spaces. There is a dog on the property, friendly with adults and children. Please contact host with dog questions.
Easy access to public transportation band highway. Roughly a 20-30 minute ride on the Yellow line Max train to downtown, or a 5-10 minute drive.
We are also close to Kenton and Mississippi neighborhoods, Adidas campus, Portland Community College and University of Portland.
We are approximately 25 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to downtown, 65 miles to Mt. Hood, 1.5 hours to the Oregon Coast (Cannon Beach), 3 hours to Seattle, 45 minutes to Oregon Wine Country and 3.5 hours from Central Oregon (Bend/Mt. Bachelor) (Time estimates will differ based on traffic)
