We really enjoyed our stay. The view of the mountains from the deck is fantastic and the place is large and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool table and the comfortable beds. It feels remote but it’s a short drive to Montpelier. We would stay again!

Amazing views. Great location. Very peaceful. Communation with the host was very poor. Had a broken coffee pot. Had to go and buy one myself with no reimbursement. Pool table is falling apart. No propane in grill. Couch’s are very uncomfortable. Furniture in bedrooms is extremely cheap. Would not stay here again

Breathtaking views, well-appointed house
Each bedroom was comfortable, main living room was lovely. Great for families or a multi-couple getaway. The views of the mountains were truly wonderful. Very close to downtown Montpelier, which is a huge plus. We will be back!
We had a great time staying at this location. Far away enough to enjoy the peace and quiet but close enough to be able to do a bunch of activities! Would definitely stay here again!
Better comforters and a variety of pillows- the ones they provided were way too poofy for my neck and i ended up using my bathrobe wadded up in a pillow case. The top floor toilet was dirty and plugged up and almost overflowed when we first flushed it and then cured itself.

First Family Weekend
This was our first weekend stay in Vermont and it was great! I could definitely see us staying here again.
Good place for three couples. A little out of the way but not difficult to get to things. Google directions initially took us a bit off the beaten path but once corrected, very manageable.
This is the second time we have stayed here and both times were fantastic. The house is as beautiful as it looks in the photos. Great spot for a family. The location is peaceful and serene with incredible views. The house was clean and stocked with fresh towels and plenty of dishes and cookware to meet our needs. Centrally located between Burlington, Stowe, and Waitsfield and just a couple miles into Montpelier for great food and lovely walks. If you like to hike, you're in the perfect spot for access to Camel's Hump, Mt. Hunger, and White Rock, some of Vermont's most beautiful hikes.

Beautiful setting. Comfortable beds and good space. The Tv is mounted too high for comfortable viewing, but other than that it was a comfortable home.
We stayed here for a week of skiing at Stowe - the property is about a 45 min drive from the mountain. After skiing, we enjoyed the spacious living area and views from the propertyy. Thank you for having us!
Clean, spacious home. Family had a great time. Easy drive to downtown Montpelier.

Incredible view!
The view out of the main social rooms was incredible. Drinks at night on the deck followed by coffee in the morning was spectacular! Loved having the pool table too as a great gathering space with a fun game to engage everyone in.
When they say panoramic mountain views, they really mean panoramic mountain views! No buildings, no roads, no ski trails. No "these are old photos, so the trees now block a lot of the view." No "well, it's better when the leaves aren't still on the trees". This view is spectacular. We also really enjoyed the pool table - a great feature to help us have fun with our adult children after a day of hiking in this beautiful area.Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen was adequate. Decor was fine.

Thank you, Alice, for your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed this home. We sincerely apologize for the issues you have encountered during your stay. We'll continue to work closely with both our local staff and the homeowner to make improvements to this home, and we hope you'll give us a second chance to impress you.
Giving 3 stars because I think that’s what this is - a “fair” place: good enough to stay for the weekend we booked but not enough to come back again. I think it’s important to let people know a couple things that disappointed us and are misleading in the photos - there is NO hot tub and the fire places are NOT available for guests to use. Additional notes - The TV upstairs has cable but doesn’t have additional apps (we wanted to watch a hockey game). The downstairs TV was very difficult to get signed into a tv apps and it’s a very small TV. When we arrived , the first bedroom had a half made bed. It looked like someone left in a hurry and didn’t finish making the bed. The view is amazing and the kitchen had most basic items. Someone came by to salt the drive and we had no problem with the heat working (another review mentioned this so wanted to note it did work for us).

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the amazing view and that the heat was working well during your stay. However, we are sorry to learn about the disappointments you experienced, especially regarding the hot tub and fireplaces not being available, as well as the issues with the TVs and the bedroom setup. Your comments about the photos and amenities are very important, and we will be sure to pass them along to our local team to help improve the accuracy of the listing and the guest experience. We truly appreciate your honesty, as it helps us make necessary improvements. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future.
This is a great spot to stay with a nice view, private land, and a decently stocked kitchen and living space. As two couples, we had plenty of privacy with one couple on the second floor and the other in the basement bedroom. Both had private baths, and another half bath on the main level. The third bedroom isn’t very private and is attached to the main entry with a door that doesn’t close fully. If you’re just ripping and running, it’s no problem but you can’t really expect privacy there. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and enjoyed being about 40-45 min from Stowe. There were a few things that could use some improvement, hence the 4 star rating. Firstly, we were fully expecting a hot tub because of the photos, only to realize it wasn’t ever listed in the description. In my opinion, the picture should be changed or the description should be updated. We also had some check in issues with the previous stay not leaving until later than our arrival. We drove 7-8 hours to get there, so the fact that the house wasn’t ready wasn’t ideal. Because of the rush, the basement bathroom wasn’t the cleanest and was a bit dated as well. Please also read carefully regarding the fire places. If it’s your main draw (as it should be for a winter Vermont vacation), be sure to plan accordingly.
A long-awaited get-together of high school buddies and two wives (total 5 people), along with two pups. House was exactly as described, and really beautiful. Close to Montpelier center, which has great shopping and restaurants. We also went glass-blowing (20 minutes away), and the menfolks went on a great hike with the pups. The management company was very responsive to a relatively minor household issue (top bedroom heat baseboards were not working) - they sent a specialist out, who fixed it in short order. Would love to stay here again.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful review, Corinne. We're so glad to hear that the house was exactly as described and that you and your friends had such an enjoyable time. It sounds like you made the most of the beautiful location with the hike, shopping, and glass-blowing experience. We also appreciate your understanding regarding the heating issue in the top bedroom. We’re glad we were able to resolve it quickly, and we’re grateful for your kind words about our responsiveness. We would love to welcome you back for another stay in the future and hope to make your next visit even more memorable.
We had a wonderful 3 night stay here. The home was clean & spacious. It also has plentiful amenities although they are quite basic. Nothing too luxurious, but they have everything you should need. The internet connection was strong for our phones, However, the TV connection was extremely spotty so we pretty much couldn't use it. That wasn't a big deal for us though as we were not there to veg out. The view from the home is absolutely breathtaking, (pictures online do not do it justice!) The property location is private yet convenient; It is just outside Montpellier & getting to the highway is very simple.Overall we had an amazing time in this home!

Very Disappointing
The pictures on VRBO give a different impression than what we experienced. The pros: amazing views from the back balcony, comfortable bed, adequate bathroom space (at least the one we used), large kitchen, spacious common area upstairs and downstairs. Cons: musty smell as soon as you open the front door (worse downstairs), old worn carpet on stairs/upstairs (maybe causing the bad odor?), older worn fabric furniture, and rough road/driveway. The worst part was the odor, causing my husband and me sinus issues, so much so that we left after only one night. The VRBO management responded but offered no recourse (understandable since we were passed the refund period) but the owners said nothing then and still haven’t offered apologies or anything. Obviously it hasn’t been an issue for other renters, but it would gone a long way for them to just reply. First and probably last VRBO experience.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
This home was so close to being the perfect getaway, there were just a few things that did not quite meet our standards. The home needs a good deep clean desperately. The floors, especially upstairs, were dirty. There were multiple dead flies throughout the house, especially in the upstairs bathroom. There were cobwebs in multiple corners inside the house, giving the overall feeling that nobody had stayed here in a while or checked to see if it had been cleaned thoroughly before guests arrived. The main problem, however, was that the heat in the home seemed not to work. We tried multiple times to get it working, and we reached out to Vacasa to get help turning it on. Vacasa staff seemed to give us an answer from ChatGpt that was not helpful in the slightest. There were two functional space heaters for a three level home, and that simply did not cut it. We could not have more than one space heater going in one room because it did trip the breakers when we tried. This property was also advertised to be secluded, however there is a barn of sorts right next to the home with private property signs posted, which was an unsettling feeling since it was shown nowhere in the listing. It also needs to be listed somewhere that the Google Maps route will not take you to the driveway, it makes you cut through the woods and front yard to get to the house. We enjoyed our stay, but there are multiple concerns that need to be addressed, especially before the winter season hits.
