It is difficult to describe this house but I will attempt it here. Bear with me. On the third day of our vacation in Rincón we traveled to Gozalandia waterfall. There are two falls there one lower that can become crowded with people and one up-stream that is more of a climb to get to. We rode in to the park early and skipped the lower fall and headed straight to the upper falls. Sure enough, less than 4 people were there. The 120 ft waterfall cascaded down into a calm swimable pool similar in diameter. To the left of the falls on a small ledge, a rope swing was tied to a tree. Brave souls were rewarded with giant swings up to 15 ft high landing in the center of the pool. Another climb up rocks led to a small hideaway behind the waterfall where two or three people could surprisingly hold an audible conversation. The drop off on the sides off the pool were steep but occasionally there was a large rock where two or three people could sit. When perched on one of these geo-lounge chairs, my eyes would wander upward to the lush jungle vegetation and sheer cliff walls. With nothing else to compare it to, my mind began to think it was on a movie set. At this point my new life goal was to have THIS waterfall situated somewhere on my way home from work.This remarkable house is something akin to this waterfall. Its bountiful nuances will slowly envelope and then change you. The owners have created something intuitive and magical and they are very generous by sharing it with the world.

Enjoy with no worries

The amount of detail put into making sure nothing is needed is jaw dropping. The property is simply amazing. Its comfort wants to keep you there and forget you're in a beautiful island. It's has an enormous panoramic view of the ocean. I went with 5 little children that loved it, but that property keeps all ages satisfied. I'm grateful the owners the owners made my family vacation incredibly enjoyable

Perfect!

My friends and I stayed here during our friends wedding weekend. It was absolutely perfect. Owners communicated extremely well with check in and throughout the process. The place had everything we needed. And the views I’m still dreaming about. We were only there a short time so didn’t do full food shopping/cooking but there was a restaurant right down the hill that was perfect for our group to grab food/drinks. Definitely be back to stay again!

AMAZING stay at RINCON!!!!!!!!!

Left the house this morning and back to reality😩😩 What a beautiful house. We were a group of 11 (two of them stayed in a lovely apartment downstairs). The view was SPECTACULAR. My morning routine was a cup of coffee while counting the amount of surfers on the water. At one time I counted 58. Despite being way up in the mountain you could see the surfers riding the waves and you could hear the waves. SUPER ENTERTAINING!!! The pool area super clean and spacious. The house has a very nice kitchen. Everything inside is made of wood and makes it very cozy. The AC’a at the rooms were perfect. The only thing is be aware that common areas don’t have AC and it can get a little bit warm but that is RINCON. You cannot expect to be in AC all day. Thanks to Michele Prothers. She was an amazing host. I swear I asked her a bunch of questions before our trip and she was super diligent in answering them immediately. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!

Wonderful Overall Experience

The property was perfect for our family. We wouldn’t have changed anything about the house or location. With six kids ranging from elementary to teens the house fit all of our needs. Plenty of space to find alone time and space to enjoy family time. The views were incredible and serene and provided the perfect setting for our family trip. Would stay again.

Beautiful View!

The drive up seems intimidating, but there were no issues. The view is unbelievable! The pool was great and we enjoyed relaxing under the deck. The hammock was perfect for taking a nap while it rained.

Amazing place!

We took a girls trip to Fisheye and absolutely loved it. The house is exactly as pictured and the views exceeded expectations. Ruby was a fantastic host, friendly and responsive. We are already planning a trip back to Fisheye and considering allowing our husbands to join this time around :)

50 Aniversario de mis padres.

Mis hermanos y familia regresaron a PR para la celebración de mis padres. La casa de Michele es espectacular, se ve el cariño que le tiene a la casa en todos los detalles y decoración. Nosotros éramos 12 desde los 4 hasta los 80 y la pasamos súper. La casa es bien comoda. Hay suficiente espacio para compartir juntos y tener el espacio de cada cual. La cocina está totalmente equipada, el bbq bien amplio para cocinar para varios. Michele y su esposo son fueron bien atentos. Pasamos la Navidad allí y hasta tenía un árbol de Navidad 🎄 para sentirnos como en nuestra casa.al ser 12 alquilamos un apartamento en los bajos de la casa y fue Perfecto. Gracias Michele!

Absolutely Perfect!

This property is actually better in person than the listing. Michele was very attentive to my questions prior to arrival and even suggested a private chef, who was great. In addition to spectacular views and beautiful interior, unlike many VRBO places I’ve stated at, there are not a million rules and instructions. The basic vibe is “be a responsible person and have fun”. We were a group of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) celebrating my in-laws 50th anniversary. There was plenty of space for all of us. The restaurant/bar at the bottom of the hill has great hours and good food. Domes beach was also very nice and had a nice bar and great empandillas. Previous reviews had mentioned concerns about electricity. This is not a problem. They have a three tier system. If power from the grid goes out, the solar system kicks in. If it’s after 6 pm or > 6 hours the generator kicks in. You will not be without power. There is AC in the bedrooms, but there is also a nice breeze and you may not need AC The kitchen is great, well appointed, spacious, and has wonderful ocean views. There is also an outdoor kitchen and large outdoor table so you can eat and take in the 180 degree view of the ocean and sunset. You would be silly to eat dinner anywhere else. The pool has a swim up bar, great ocean view, and was perfect for adults and kids. The only downside was the difficulty I had motivating people to leave the property and explore the surrounding area! Of all the places I’ve stayed this is tops.

70th Bday Family trip was perfection

This home was beyond perfect for us. We were celebrating my 70th birthday and our 45th anniversary and we were all excited to be making this trip together. Everyone surfs so Rincon was where we wanted to be and the Prothers property was everything you could've dreamed of and more. Beautiful views, wonderful home with so many special touches. Gorgeous woods throughout and delightful furnishings in every room. Breezes throughout the house and AC in each room if needed. Kitchen was fully stocked and everything worked. I had some concerns about what we would find after the Hurricane but they have solar, water, generators, etc. Even though the electricity went out a few times, all the back ups came on immediately so we hardly knew any difference. Great having washer & dryer too. The infinity pool was used every afternoon, our grandkids loved it and the sunsets were spectacular. Towels, beach chairs, etc all provided and Ruby even has some chickens and goats next door which my grandkids loved checking out. The Prothers family really made our stay. Though we didn't get to meet Michelle, her husband Craig, son and daughter,Jesse and Ruby were generous with their time and expertise. We had a mishap with a glass coffee carafe but Craig quickly brought us another. We went fishing with Jesse one day and caught so many fish it was unbelievable. Michelle was upfront that this house wasn't set up for small children and we had our two grandkids 2 1/2 and 1 1/2. We had to be vigilant watching them on the big porches and around the pool of course, but thankfully no mishaps. This house is truly special and unique. What I liked best was that it is beautiful but not fussy which made it so easy for a big family group to feel at home ... lots of rooms to enjoy and spread out. (I hired a chef for four nights whom Michelle had recommended which was a game changer for us. Even though we all love to cook it and the house has a beautiful kitchen it was great to have fabulous local fare and then a nice clean kitchen afterwards. We could all sit around the table and talk without worrying who was going to clean up. I highly recommend Chef Jason Sumpter, if you are considering it. ) We loved this home and our entire family agreed this was the best family trip we've ever taken together, this house made the difference. This is just a gem! Location is superb with the best sunset views in Rincon. Quarters all large, comfortable and nice decor. Host super responsive and always available for any questions. We just hade an amazing stay, no need to leave the premises!

Magical place

We can’t wait to come back! Michele’s place is absolutely stunning. Check in was simple. The views are breathtaking. Everything was spotless and the house was well stocked. We ended up renting the property for my bachelorette weekend. We made close friends with Blueberry the house manager (a very pretty sphynxy cat) and basically every other person on the island. I almost don’t want to leave the review because it’s such a find. You will not regret your trip to fish eye view…. And don’t worry- your car can get up the driveway. 🙃 thank you!

The property is beautiful, really well maintained. It feels like a home away from home and the view is spectacular. This property is a gem. Not necessarily ideal for kids under 3 years old but we made it work and the hosts did warn us. Despite this we will most definitely stay here again!

Craig and I have lived in Rincon for over 20 years. We met here at the Tamboo at Sandy Beach in 1991 and never left. We purchased property in 1996 and it feels like we have been building ever since. We built our home ourselves and we have put many unique and personal touches in it. Two children and 28 years later we are still here, we still love it and we want to share it with you.

The View. We have the most unique view in Rincon, you won't find one like it anywhere else. A panoramic view that spans from Domes all the way to Tres Palmas. You can check the many surf breaks, watch for whales and enjoy your rum punches while watching the sunsets that make Rincon famous.

We built our house ourselves over many years and it has evolved along with us. There are many personal touches. Our hardwood floors and many wood details are unique to Rincon. We have a library ladder made by Craig's Dad in NJ, mailed down in pieces and then assembled by him here in Rincon. You feel the warmth of our home when you stay here
