This spacious, ranch-style, single family home has been owned and cherished by one family since 1952, the year it was built. It was completely remodeled and is bright, quiet, and peacefully private. It is conveniently located within five minutes to the Del Monte Shopping Center (movie theater, great shopping, and restaurants), and centrally located to many of the wonderful sites and activities on the Monterey Peninsula. The beach, wharf and Cannery Row (Monterey Bay Aquarium) are just ten minutes away. Also close by are Carmel, Pebble Beach, Pacific Grove, and Laguna Seca. This is a perfect setting for families and responsible parties of six people or less who are looking for quiet, comfortable accommodations, and are able to provide at least two week's notice. 30 night minimum stay. Lovely House, great location

We absolutely loved this little three bedroom house, perfect for a family with two children !! We had 4 adults and 2 children, and it was very comfortable. Great little patio for kids to play. Center location easy drive or walk to shopping, touring, etc. Very quiet neighborhood with a view of the bay from the corner window of the living room. Landlord was wonderful and communicated perfectly between the time of our booking and our stay. Will definitely stay again !!

Fabulous Villa

This was our third stay here and we will be back if plans permit. The property is elegant, spacious and presented beautifully. The facilities are excellent, the neighbourhood is quiet and its a great place to chill.

Lovely home close to all the attractions

This home was very nicely kept and comfortable for our party of 5. The amenities were more than adequate and the space was even kid-friendly for our toddler. We were pleasantly surprised that it was in walking distance of town, but still in a quiet neighborhood. We had a great weekend!

Big Sur Marathon Weekend

This rental was absolutely perfect for our trip. Very clean and cozy. We were 4 friends meeting from across the U.S.. The large dining table and the garden were perfect for dinner and drinks. Each bedroom had plenty of privacy too. We had a relay team competing in the Big Sur Marathon Relay and this house was a very convenient location to the Monterey Peninsula College- which is where the buses leave from for the relay.

It was perfect. Roberta was a charm to work with.

We started off with a huge storm and found that the electricity was out in the entire town of Monterey. Roberta was in constant contact with us and once it came back on we were still without power in one area of the lovely home. She immediately sent an electrician over to fix the problem. The home was perfect for trip to check out colleges in northern ca for our daughter. It was centrally located and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this home. It exceeded all of our expectations.

Everything We Wanted!

Had a wonderful two night stay here in December 2016. The home is spotless and spacious. It comfortably accommodated our party of four adults and two children. We appreciated the basket of toys and games for our 3 and 5 year olds. It's in a very convenient central location just a few minutes drive to Cannery Row or Carmel, and just down the street from the Del Monte Shopping Center where you can find Whole Foods and various restaurants. David and Roberta were prompt and welcoming in all communications. We'll be back!

Beautiful home with everything you need for a lovely stay in Monterey

We rented this lovely home for a Monterey vacation and family visit. It was lovely and comfortable and centrally located. Lots of space, room, and light. It was clear that the owner made every effort to make the home inviting to her visitors. Clean and organized shelves in the kitchen with fully stocked with dishware, utensils, pots, pans, and glassware. Lovely slippers are at the front door to greet you and encourage you to treat the rich hardwood floors gently. My children loved the seamless mirrored glass doors that open revealing a spacious and comfortable living room with television ("like magic"). We had a lovely stay and would recommend this home to anyone considering a stay in Monterey.

Wonderful as always

This beautiful property was a great find when we first stayed two years ago and we were very fortunate that it was available again for our recent visit. The house has a very personal feel to it and Roberta has presented it in a very attractive style, feeling open and full of light. It has absolutely everything one might need when on holiday and is more like home than anywhere we have stayed previously. Ideally located to enjoy the Monterey peninsula, it is located in a quiet neighbourhood close to downtown Monterey and the nearby shopping Mall. When we return again in two years we very much hope that it will be available.

Fantastic Family Vacation with Friends

I can't believe this place is so wonderful. Roberta was a wonderful host. we loved every part of the vacation in Monterey. We were so happy that this was very close to Pacific Grove, where our other part's house was at. We had 2 families, of 3 each. The best friend boys (4 and 5 year old) had their own room (2 twin beds) and the parents of the single children had their own room. The place was so large, we didn't even use the living / dining room. It was so clean and the kitchen was a fantastic place to cook our family meals. it's hard to go out to eat with younger kids. Roberta provided ample supplies. We brought extra paper towels since we usually rent AirBnB, but there was no need. Plenty of towels and hotel soaps. The Laundry was great to have since both families had young kiddies. The single and ONLY downside (Cuz everything else was fantastic) are the queen beds . They are super hard to sleep on, not very comfortable. I had to sleep with my son on a twin sized bed because of my poor back. overall, was a marvelous and memorable vacation. Thank you again Roberta (owner) and David (booking manager)!!

Immaculate

This home was immaculately clean upon our arrival! It was a great location for our purposes (in town for a running event) and the house was comfortable and in a quiet part of town with easy access to shopping, the downtown Monterey area and Highway 1 to Carmel. The two separately living/family rooms make this an ideal home for parents and their teen kids but I'd recommend it to anyone needing 3 bedrooms.

Nice location in Monterey

Nice, spacious home with plenty of room to spread out. The backyard was lovely, although it was a little cool on our trip to enjoy. The home was very clean and had everything we needed available. The location was great. Easy access to key roadways and close to major attractions. We really enjoyed our stay. Two things would have made it perfect. The beds weren't as comfortable as I would have liked. And it would have been great to have LED clocks in the bedrooms - even if we were on vacation!

We rented this house for a business weekend at the race rack (laguna seca). Working with the owners was a true pleasure. They were very professional and provided everything they promised. The location of the house is minutes away from downtown, Canery row, and all the attractions. The amenties were terrific and the house was spotless. We would highly recommend this house.

A true & lovely home away from home

We had a wonderful time over the Labor Day weekend, celebrating our oldest daughter’s 30th birthday in Big Sur, Carmel and Monterey. This home was the perfect home away from home to help us enjoy the area. It was the nicest and most well-appointed and well equipped home we’ve rented to do these family getaways over the last few years. I appreciated how the owner seemed to approach setting the home up for what she would want to have, see and use when she rents a home getaway. It was a unique and caring approach that was very much appreciated by all of us. It was an honor to be her guest. (Following is my ex-wife’s review) I have strong ties to the Salinas Valley where I was born and where I have many relatives. For me, enjoying a long weekend in this lovely home was a step back in time, as the home is situated in the heart of Monterey, where I still have so many cousins and fond memories. Our family getaways are a rare joy - - when we bring our adult children back to a place where we may have enjoyed time with them as children. Though we are no longer married, we are still family and these rare family reunions provide a time to focus on each other and create the atmosphere for our kids to share their latest plans, joys and struggles. For those reasons, we wish to express our deepest appreciation for the obvious love and care the owner has given this home for so many years. The home is so well kept, the appointments both welcoming and comfortable - - from the comfy couch and chairs, to the family room, to the well-appointed kitchen where we had more than every kitchen appliance, dish and tool at our disposal. In former trips, we encountered homes where we were left to fend for ourselves without so much as a napkin or even a salt/pepper shaker, necessitating endless trips to the store, which were not as handy as your centrally located home, to pick up basics from toilet paper to dishwasher soap and so forth. The kitchen was so well equipped, and so generously appointed, with even an ample supply of high end herbs, olive oils and the like that left us free to spend every waking moment on time with each other without worry about having to run time-consuming errands on a precious Labor Day weekend. THANK YOU for the thoughtful care in creating such a restful, well-appointed and comfortable home. The best part of our stay was feeling that we truly 'at home' in which we felt so well taken care of.

Relaxing, peaceful, spotless home in a great location.

We recently rented this home to bring family down for our son's graduation. Everyone enjoyed this beautiful house with so many different areas to relax. There is a lovely view of Monterey from the living room to enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine....there is a family room with a TV and games to entertain the kids and a nice courtyard in back for mingling. Within walking distance is a great bakery, market and Mexican restaurant. This home is definitely one of the nicest decorated and certainly the cleanest vacation home we have ever rented. The hosts were quick to respond to all communications and were genuinely happy to share their home for such a big event in our family. We will be back for our daughter's graduation!

Comfortable Accommodations, Very Responsive Hosts

We stayed over a long weekend, with six people coming from different areas. Very comfortable home for six, well-stocked and clean. We had plenty of room to spread out. There was a separate room for those who wanted to watch TV, and a beautiful living room for sitting and conversing. My favorite part were the gardens in the back yard, with a privacy fence, tables, benches and chairs. Was great to be able to cook dinners with the family, everything you would conceivably need was there including pots and pans, utensils, and dishes. Plenty of parking with two driveways. Close to downtown Monterey, shopping and restaurants. Some shopping and restaurants within walking distance, but Downtown is not within easy walking distance. The house sits on the hill and there were beautiful sunrises. The hosts were very responsive, and returned the deposit check almost immediately. We had no issues at all with this rental and would highly recommend it. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us!

Wonderful home and responsive host

This house was very clean and comfortable. It came stocked with all of things you'd want in a rental home and was in a very nice location. The host was also very accommodating of my last minute request and was very responsive. I'd highly recommend this home if you are looking for a rental in the area. It is very easy to get to the home from the highway, even at night and when you're not familiar with the area. The only downside is its not a short walk to some of the places you might want to go like the beach or Carmel, but it's a very short and easy drive.

Impressed gearheads

The house was exceptional in every way- better than most 5 star hotels I have visited. The attention to detail is amazing and the décor is beautiful.The furnishings and decoration together with all the small touches add to the personal feel of the property which was obviously put together with much love and personal pride in the final result. It is very spacious and well located. Its hard to impress four gearheads who are not terribly domestic but impressed we were and will definitely be back.

Comfortable home, centrally located

We visited Monterey for our family vacation and wanted an economical and comfortable place to stay. This house fit the bill nicely. It is only a couple of miles from Cannery Row / Fisherman's Wharf, and close to the highway to get to Carmel and other nearby sights. The house had everything we needed and was perfect for us and our two teenagers. It had nice upgrades in the kitchen and family room and we well equipped. It isn't luxurious and some of the furnishings look a little retro, but that's to be expected with a rental. The neighborhood is hilly which made it not ideal for walking / hiking. It is close to a nice Mexican restaurant and a little bakery, and is only two blocks from the largest shopping mall in the area, which was nice. Overall, it is a good choice for a quiet base of operations for your vacation.

Review of VRBO #397913 , house in Monterey.

The photos reflect what is really there, but there is so much more! The 3 bedrooms are grouped together with the full bathroom and the kitchen. We rented this house for 6 people, but one couple had an emergency. With 4 adults all was fine, but with 6 we’d have to wait to take a shower. This would be the only issue. Every bedroom has spare pillows and blankets, there are plenty hangers and shelves. The bathroom has a hairdryer, flexible shower, and so many spare towels: I don’t think I saw as many in a store! There are also beach towels at the bottom of the cabinet. Kitchen has everything that is possibly needed. All sorts of pots and pans, dishes and glasses, teapot and tea kettle. There is a manual for the coffeemaker. Plenty of kitchen towels and place mats, paper towels and napkins, salt and pepper. The dishwasher works well. The ½ bathroom is on the way through the laundry room. A nice back yard with patio furniture. The dining room has a large TV with detailed instruction how to use the remotes, a table with 6 chairs. The family room has a smaller table with 4 chairs. Both rooms are huge; they have plenty of couches and comfortable soft chairs. We didn’t call the owner as it was easy to communicate by emails, the entrance and exit instructions were clear, the security deposit check was mailed to us just 3 days later. Overall we were satisfied with everything in the house, and would definitely recommend it to friends.

Monterey visit

The house was well located for access to Monterey and Carmel. It was very clean and well-appointed. The two small queen bedrooms and a bedroom with twin beds shared a bathroom, which surprised us. The extra 1/2 bath was across the house. The property manager and owner were very accommodating and easy to work with.

Perfect

We flew from Hawaii to Monterey to attend the Cali roots festival and this home was a perfect choice. It fit six of us perfectly and was located very close to our event. I wouldn't definitely book this house again next year.
