Our host, Esther, was helpful and very communicative. The rental unit was comfortable and had everything we needed. We worried that proximity to the freeway would be noisy, but the room stayed quiet!

Ashland is an amazing place, and the carriage house at Chateau Herbe was a perfect spot from which to enjoy it. Easily walkable into town, and a comfortable place on beautiful grounds to retire to at the end of the day.

Great Ashland getaway

We loved the quiet and beauty of the Juliet. So easy to drive 5 minutes into downtown Ashland, too. Our host was excellent and quickly responsive to any question. Highly recommend the Juliet or other units on the chateau grounds!

Nothing was nearby, and it was quite dark without signage for location of room entrance. We looked around for the advertised hot tub to no avail. The room was quiet, yet with both of the Chateau buildings bringing more questions than answers to mind. The formal garden statuary and gardens were very interesting, but again, brought more questions as to who stayed in the large chateau building, and at what point this place was no longer involved in being a self-sustaining estate. I was not comfortable here and will not return again.
