The check in process was not clearly defined. It needed to state go directly to the condo. We read it as go to check in counter at the Cove. They were not helpful at all and we had to figure it out by ourselves. Most instructions were clear but maybe a few more details about the codes and were to go. The condo and surroundings were lovely.

Great location , beautiful views nice unit however lacked in cleanliness throughout. Unit had some mechanical maintenance issues that require attention, one example air conditioning didn’t work during our stay which made uncomfortable especially during sleeping.

Beautiful lakefront property

Located within a hotel/resort the property is beautiful with great amenities on site. The unit was perfect with two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The hosts stayed in communication and answered all of our questions. The area is great with lots of wineries, parks and things to do.

An excellent get-away

We enjoyed our stay at the COVE resort. The unit is clean, well-appointed and comfortable. The host was friendly and responsive. The resort has great amenities for families. We were there at a very hot time of year, but the air conditioning kept up well with no issues. We would definitely stay here again.

Like heaven on earth

What an incredible property! We were greeted with a beautiful view as soon as we entered. The rooms were large and the beds very comfortable. We were provided with many extras, Great communication all along the way with clear instructions. 5 stars and we will be back!

The property is advertised as having air conditioning, but there is no true A/C. During our stay (30C weather), the condo remained an unbearable 28.5–30C day and night. Resort maintenance confirmed the 'geothermal cooling system' is ineffective on the upper floors, so only warm air reaches the unit. There are NO opening windows in this unit; only two patio doors with NO SCREENS and there were no fans. ** A colony of Bats roosts above the patio. Bat feces and urine cover the patio. The Bats swarm the area every evening, making the patio unusable and creating a serious health concern. Doors have to be closed. Despite repeated complaints, the host ignored the issue. **Other problems included a bedroom TV with no sound, another with no cable due to a missing HDMI cable, a broken bedroom blind, an overheated nonworking wine fridge, a non-functioning water/ice dispenser in fridge and no laundry soap.Because this is a privately owned unit, resort staff did not assist with any issues. Even after a bathroom door accidentally locked, housekeeping was not permitted to help.Communication was through a third-party management company, not the owner, and there was no consistent follow-up. Five days into our stay, someone confirmed the cooling couldn't be improved and provided us with 1 small oscillating fan.This was by far the worst VRBO experience our family has ever had.

The property is a part of the Cove Resort. Wondered if we would have received a better deal had we attained a room through the resort as opposed to renting through VRBO. That said, the unit was wonderfully appointed, great views, and well-stocked kitchen. Unfortunately, the AC was not working. The management was responsive in having someone come check (maintenance person changed out thermostats); however, the problem was not resolved - the unit would not cool and we had to keep doors open. The communication about when the maintenance person was coming lacked specific times so we were left hanging on several occasions. The ice make also did not work. It was reported to the host/management, but no one ever came to check or resolve. We found it confusing that there were multiple hosts who provided directions that were not always clear (e.g. VRBO and "How to Host" were both sending directions that were not necessarily updated. The pool and one hot tub was seasonally closed (was not informed of this when we reserved). The check in instructions were vague - we were just texted a password for the door, but no directions as to which floor the unit was on. The Resort Staff understandably did not want to provide any instruction. The unit itself has great potential if AC and icemaker are in working order. Improving the clarity of who is actually the host, providing specifics when servicing the unit, and resolving the issues (e.g. perhaps a partial refund) would improve the expience!
