Stunning Villa in a Most Desirable Location on Tortola
Nestled into the verdant hillside of Tortola’s north shore, 300 feet above the sea, VILLA ALLANO is a beautifully constructed spacious villa that has everything you need for a perfect Caribbean vacation.
Each of the three large bedrooms has an ensuite bath with large walk-in shower and is furnished with a king-sized bed, custom closets and matching tropical hardwood furniture. Air conditioning throughout the villa ensures living and sleeping comfort year round, although the trade winds and ceiling fans keep the house comfortably cool much of the year. Beautiful artwork throughout the villa, tasteful mahogany furnishings inside and weathered teak outdoor furniture make this a very special place.
VILLA ALLANO is on two levels; on the second level, two master bedroom suites open to a 30 foot long covered verandah. Cushioned teak steamer lounges make this an ideal location for early morning coffee or late afternoon relaxing.
The villa offers wireless internet connection.
The large L-shaped first level has a fully-equipped kitchen and beautifully furnished open plan living and dining area, and also opens to a 30 foot long covered verandah.
By the pool are a teak table and chairs for your alfresco dining, and teak steamers and sun lounges provide plenty of space for sunning or reading. The Gazebo, looking out over the pool to Jost Van Dyke and open water, also furnished with teak furniture. Be sure to try the outdoor shower at the side of the gazebo: private, shaded by beautiful tropical plants, it also offers views of the sea and the islands in the distance. Also opening to the outside deck and steps away from the pool is the third master bedroom suite.
Every area in VILLA ALLANO opens to a panoramic view that includes Cane Garden Bay, St. Thomas, Jost Van Dyke and other islands. The sunsets are simply spectacular.
VILLA ALLANO is ideal for families or three couples. It is a three minute drive or ten minute walk down to the beach at Cane Garden Bay. The walk back up takes slightly longer, but provides good exercise and is a great excuse for a pina colada and a dip in the pool! Also within a short drive from the perfectly located VILLA ALLANO are the BVI capital of Road Town, as well as the north shore beaches at Brewer’s Bay, and Long Bay and the surfing beach at Apple Bay. A short distance further is the beautiful beach at Smuggler’s Cove. VILLA ALLANO’s many amenities and comfortable living spaces make “staying in” a delightful option, but a veritable smorgasbord of restaurants and night spots are just a short drive away.
Arrangements can be made by our house manager, Cassandra, for you to be met at the airport or ferry terminal for the drive to VILLA ALLANO. Cassandra will also help you find the best places to eat, make reservations for day sails, etc. She is a wealth of information about the local culture and people, and is always just a phone call away. Rental of four-wheel drive vehicle (a real necessity on hilly Tortola) can also be arranged.
VILLA ALLANO is non-smoking; maid service is provided mid-week.

Villa Allano was perfect for our family. The views were stunning, the house was well-appointed (and we appreciated the wide variety of books and games!), and we had plenty of room. Our boys swam in the pool most days, and we loved the nearby shaded gazebo/patio area - and the balconies for drinking coffee in the mornings. The villa also was in a great location - quiet, not far from beautiful beaches (though we drove rather than walked), but also close to some solid restaurant options. The driveway up is not for the faint of heart, but that is true for just about every property we saw on the island - it's just goes with the territory with a mountainous terrain. I really appreciated the local recommendations and wealth of information about things to do on Tortola that Colleen sent to us in advance of the trip. Cassandra, the property manager, was delightful, and we were so appreciative that she met us the first night and helped us get to the property. If it weren't for her, we probably would have spent the entire first night circling the island aimlessly. All in all, a wonderful trip, and we would happily return to Villa Allano in the future!
Everything was as described. We stayed 10 days and had a great time. Enjoyed the luxury of the pool and views every day. Need an AWD or 4x4 vehicle to get around the island, which we knew. Took the ferry over to JVD for a day and chartered a boat for a day of snorkeling over on Peter and Norman Islands.Did not want to leave.
What you see is what you get and more. Thoughtful layout and beautiful views. Interior is larger in person and pool size was perfect. The wife and kids loved it!
Spacious property with all the necessary amenities. Excellent location on the island for touring and beaches. Responsive property manager who was very helpful with our needs or questions. Overall a villa I would highly recommend for couples or a family who enjoy beautiful views with a very comfortable layout.
Cassandra was awesome helping us navigate to the grocery store and property. Picture's just dont do the view justice. The house will fit all your needs.
The house actually is more spacious than the impression I got from the pictures. This is a great place to base a family group. Our stay included 2 days of a Category-1 hurricane, and the local management team was very helpful and attentive before, during and after the storm. Guests should know that Tortola is a place of steep and winding roads, and the driveway to this home is also steep and winding. So long as you're comfortable with that, book with confidence!

Thank you for this review. Our concern was for your safety and we are so glad our team stepped up at a stressful time.
My family of 5 had the absolute best time at Villa Allano in Tortola . The Villa is in perfect location in Cane Garden Bay , just up the hill from the beach and plenty of restaurants as well as a convenience store . We rented a car which is a must on Tortola to explore the island and all the beaches . We arrived Christmas night and Cass, the wonderful property manager , met us at the ferry and had us follow her to the Villa . For her to go out of her way on Christmas night and take the time to help us was amazing. She also took the time to come help us out of a jam the morning we were departing when we were having trouble with the safe that held our passports. She is the best ! The Villa itself was very spacious , very clean , and had all we needed . We can’t wait to return to this new property !!

Nit-picker
We had a fabulous time! There are a couple of very minor flaws which I may be the only one to notice, like an inoperative bathroom window and a few fogged thermo-panes, only one of which was annoying. It is listed as limited accessibility, but I am handicapped and found NO inconvenience. Our healthy offspring thrived on the available walks and walking access to the village and other destinations. Ten mile excursions for them were a daily occurrence and thoroughly enjoyable. We never used the air-conditioning because the ventilation is remarkable. Our children, however, found the upper floors more comfortable for sleeping with it on; they are late sleepers and the island's plethora of feral chickens woke them a bit early. We ARE returning!

We are glad you enjoyed Villa Allano and that your family took full advantage of its great location. All windows and sliders in the villa are Dade County approved hurricane glass. We have contacted PGT Wingard to have the necessary parts shipped to fix the windows. We look forward to your return visit!
Mycket trevligt bemötande av Cassandra. Huset var perfekt för vår familj med respektive. Utsikten magiskt vacker! Alla bekvämligheter fanns tillgängliga i huset.
The house was a perfect fit for our family! Perfect location and size. Would definitely stay there again. Thank You!

Fantastic location and lovely, comfortable home
What we loved about this Villa: great communication with owners, very friendly property manager, homey feel, comfortable beds (this is pretty uncommon I've found, even in relatively high-end places), gorgeous views, well-equipped kitchen, outdoor shower, decorated tastefully, direct balcony from all bedrooms, nice breezes so no need for A/C, and close to hiking and a wonderful little village and beautiful beach.
The technology was a little dated (small TV and old Ipod doc) but we didn't care. We weren't there to watch TV.
When we were there we did some exploring to find the "best" beach on Tortola. We found the closest beach to the house, Cane Garden Bay, to be one of the best. We loved the gentle waves, calm swimming water, pretty sand, and convenience of bars and restaurants right on the beach. Cane Garden is a really lovely little town. The atmosphere is so mellow and the people are so friendly. They also have 200-year old rum distillery there and if you hang around town you're bound to meet some of the family members. The rum is quite tasty and very affordable (don't buy it at the grocery store, buy it directly from the distillery). And this beautiful little town with its gorgeous beach is only a 3-minute drive from the Villa. It's also a 10-minute walk down and a 13-minute uphill walk back. The roads can be a little precarious to walk on (and to drive on) so be careful. But it's a nice little workout to walk to town and back.
Beaches we visited on Tortola: Smugglers, East Long Bay, West Long Bay, Cane Garden Bay, Brewer's Bay. Out of those Cane Garden and Brewer's were our favorites.
Brewer's Bay beach is about a 10-minute drive from the Villa. It's much more rustic and barely developed. We actually prefer this type of undeveloped beach but when we wanted to be closer to the Villa or to have more options for food and drink we went to Cane Garden. There is one little bar/restaurant at Brewer's that closes at around 3.
Another favorite for us was the proximity to Sage Mountain National Park. This is a lovely place to hike. It's less than 10 minutes away by car. We got up every morning at around 7 and hiked there (we had to work off some of that rum and all those pineapples!). If you're used to extensive hiking you may find it small but we weaved back and forth on the various trails and easily got an hour-long hike each day.
All in all, we LOVED the mood and feel on Tortola and thought the location and vibe of the villa was perfect.

The perfect getaway
The previous reviews are accurate: the pictures simply do not do this villa justice. Not only are the views spectacular from every room, but the attention to detail is incredible. I have stayed at many villas that boast of "attention to detail" but this villa really delivers. The kitchen is well-stocked and ready for meal preparation. The spacious tiled rain showers are wonderful. So unusual to truly have three master suites. The pool setting is magnificent and comfortable lounge chairs plentiful. And the views simply cannot be described, they must be experienced. We are ready to plan our next trip now!

The Best of Tortola
Our stay at Villa Allano was paradise! The views and sunsets from the villa are spectacular and the villa was perfect. The villa had everything we needed, the master suites were spacious, comfortable and provided plenty of privacy. The pool was great, with beautiful cushioned teak loungers. Breakfasts and dinners were wonderful under the gazebo. We were only there a week but, will return without hesitation. A perfect home away from home. A perfect place for a vacation!

Fantastic Island Experience
Jeff and Colleen wanted to let you know what a great stay we had at your piece of Paradise. The view was amazing and having coffee on the outside terrace watching the Sailboats go in and our of the harbor was a rare treat ! The Villa is designed and equipped perfectly and having a pool at our fingertips to cool off in was wonderful. Loved your location, being so close to the beach and the great bars. We will be back.

Stellar Views from Villa Allano
The pictures of the views from Villa Allano don't do it justice. The views are spectacular and there is a lot of opportunity to enjoy the views from both the main level and from the bedrooms upstairs. We spent morning and evenings taking in the views and relaxing. The villa was very comfortable and clean. It had all the amenities we needed. It is great that all 3 bedrooms are king suites. You don't find this in many villas and it makes it nice for couples that are traveling together to each get their own suite. The location of the villa is another great feature, just a short drive down to Cane Garden Bay. The roads are steep and in need of repair all over the island, but that just adds to the adventure. I would recommend getting a rental car.
The owners and property manager were both great at answering all the questions we had prior to our arrival. We all fell in love with Tortola and plan on going back and would definitely choose Villa Allano to call our home for the week.

Villa Allano
This home was everything and more than we thought it would be. Clean, neat, beautifully decorated, and with every amenity you could wish for. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The views were incredible. Waking up every morning to amazing water views, while sitting on the decks drinking coffee...........The bedrooms were spacious and it was wonderful for each room to have king size beds and their own beautiful, roomy baths. We enjoyed dinner with live music at Bannakeet. The Sugar Mill was very fancy with great service. Enjoyed Smuggler's Cove beach and so many other places! We loved exploring the island, but be warned, the roads are an adventure, narrow roads, steep with sharp turns and then add the mule, cows, and chickens.... Cass, the house manager was very kind and helpful. Certainly would recommend this vacation home to everyone.

Five Days in Paradise!
This was a very special experience, and we look forward to returning. The house is comfortably elegant, with a well-equipped kitchen, perched high on the hillside for amazing views. Our bed was exquisitely comfortable. There were so many special memories: the glorious sunsets, followed by the twinkling lights on distant islands, the beautiful beaches, our sail to Norman Island to snorkel and see gorgeous fish, and my introduction to a concoction called a pain killer! I enjoyed finishing my book on the verandah and quietly painting some of the beautiful foliage of the island. Villa Allano offers a perfect Tortola experience.

An experience beyond perfection
Thank you for allowing us the privilege of staying in this beautiful house on this beautiful island. Out our window lies one of the most impressive and memorable views imaginable. We had the opportunity to explore on land and underwater, our family being avid divers. On both accords this is one of the most special places we have ever been. Your hospitality and Cass' constant care have made our experience beyond perfection. We hope to be back sometime soon.
