We had a great stay in St Augustine. The layout and location of the house was great. Short walk to the beach, great space and patio area. Not sure if it was because the time of year but the house was tired. Surface areas very clean but windows, lightening and fans need a deep cleaning. The pool color is green because of the lining. It was clean and refreshing. Ryan was responsive when needed but we did not need much; we had everything we needed. Great house for the price point.

It was perfect except we struggled with the TV’s, which wasn’t a big deal as we spent almost all our time outside enjoying the sites. We 4 ladies had a really wonderful time, and liked that each of us had our own bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well appointed and the whole place was very clean. Thank you!

Thank you for the feedback and brining these concerns to my attention. The sink has been repaired, and I have worked with my cleaning crew on improving cleanliness of the home and the pool now gets professionally cleaned twice a week.

The property was amazing. It had plenty of space, the pool was great, and the beach access was perfect! There is a really cool walking trail near the house over the marsh land. We were minutes away from the Vilano Pier and the perfect distant from historic landmarks like the Castillo and lighthouse. Just perfect!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The pool was nice and clean, it was our favorite part! The views were beautiful and the beach was close by. We loved how close it was to downtown and there were great restaurants nearby. Although we didn’t use them, the house had great amenities, such as the bikes and kayaks. Mainly, we found issues with the cleanliness of the house and the need for maintenance. There were black scum rings in both tubs and everything was covered in dust. The tub upstairs was missing a plug, so it wasn’t able to be used during our stay. There were no lamps in any of the rooms, which made it very difficult to relax at night as overhead lighting was the only choice. A lot of the outdoor furniture needs replacing, the table was completely falling apart and one of the metal chairs had an arm rest that was detached, leaving a sharp metal piece open. The place could just really use some maintenance.

Spring Break Trip

Lovely location. All the amenities. Vilano Beach is the place to go! Great location. The included beach cruiser bikes are much appreciated, only 3 blocks to the beach proper. No buts, but, lots of stairs! So not only is it vacation, but you get exercise too!

Family Vacation - Pirates Paradise

My wife and I have stayed in Vilano on several occasions within the past 10 years and Pirates Paradise is one of the best VRBO that we have rented. Our family consists of 7 adults and 2 small children. The house is in a great location with nice sunset views, access to the creek for a nice kayak ride, short walk to the beach, and a short drive to downtown St. Augustine. The pool is fantastic and was enjoyed by everyone. Having corn-hole boards and a pool table was a lot of fun and a nice addition. The property was clean and well-maintained. The property manager was excellent (Angie) and very responsive both at check in and check out. Overall a great trip for our family and we plan to be back next year!

Vacation 2026

The sun was beginning to set as our family of seven pulled into the driveway of our vacation home in Florida, the warm golden rays filtering through the palm trees. There was a palpable excitement in the air as we stepped out of the car, our eyes widening at the sight of the sprawling property before us. It looked like something straight out of a magazine, with spacious rooms and a stunning backyard that led directly to a pool. As we settled in, we found our rooms, reveling in the luxury of personal space. That night, we decided to grill dinner while the kids played. The owner had provided a grill, and we set to work preparing two whole chickens, cabbage, and potatoes. The aroma filled the air, perfectly complementing the joyful sounds of splashing water as the kids swam, oblivious to the heavenly smells wafting from the grill. We also played pool while waiting for our food to be ready! With bellies full and hearts content, we ventured out the next day to explore the local area. A gas station just down the road made it easy to grab snacks, and within five minutes, we found a Publix where we could stock up on any essentials. One of the highlights of our trip was our adventure with the kayaks that the house provided. As we ventured into town, Saint George Street greeted us with various vibrant shops. We spent hours browsing unique boutiques, but our favorite spot was the Cajun Crab Hut. The seafood was out of this world, and we left with full stomachs and big smiles.
