Dark skies make wonderful stargazing from the comfort of the hot tub or with a telescope from the deck. This is no ordinary vacation rental - ours is a 50 ACRE RANCH with tons of activities and amenities. Fish in our PRIVATE FISHING POND stocked with trout and bass. ATV trail ride right from the ranch into the Bumblebee Mountains with hundreds of miles of roads and trails through juniper, pine and aspen forests. Our barn boasts more than just livestock. Although there are plenty of animals, it has a ping pong table, foosball, air hockey and pool table and other games. The kids love the animals; fallow deer, sheep, goats, horses, cows, chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits and more.
Finally, enjoy a game of horseshoes or Frisbee golf in the pasture or enjoy the shade of the cottonwoods at the picnic area or playground by the stream.

About Jan Prisbrey
We love the outdoors and the beauty and many activities of Southern Utah's diverse desert to mountain landscapes. Harmony Haven is our life’s dream and we love our little ranch and reside here year round. We care for the animals and maintain the property all the while enjoying all of the activities available to our guests. The idea to first share our ranch came when a local organization arranged for a young man with leukemia to fulfill his lifelong dream of wild turkey hunting which we arranged for him and his family; then came a couple of wedding ceremonies and family reunions with the Kolob Fingers in the background and soon it evolved in to a full time vacation/event property. Our children are all grown, though they and our grandchildren are here as often as possible, so the two of us were able to move quite comfortably into the small bunk house where we enjoy our ranch from a somewhat less elevated vantage. We appreciate your consideration of our rental and are sure that you will enjoy your stay as so many guests before you. -Jan and Kendall
Jan Prisbrey purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Jan Prisbrey chose New Harmony
Although we enjoy the occasional vacation to big cities, we are small town people who love Utah's outdoors. We decided to purchase this property because it is centrally located between two cities, albeit relatively small cities, that have everything we could want from dining, movies, golf, shopping and more. As far as we are concerned though, we have the rare privilege of coming home to peaceful mountain views with wildlife and farm animals in our pastures and ATV's and fishing from our front door.
What makes this Cabin unique
There is a private fishing pond on the property stocked with bass and trout. Catch-and-release fishing is free and does not require a license, however, you may choose to keep fish at $5 per fish (limit 2 per guest). You can ride ATV's right from the ranch a couple of miles and into the mountains. We are surrounded by some of the most scenic State and National Parks in the country and have the advantage of being close to St. George with all of the activities it has to offer without the summer heat.

We were warmly greeted by the owner and shown around an amazing animal sanctuary. From the barn full of games to the pond and then to the park, our family roamed freely and enjoyed the peace of nature that not many homes provide . Thank yoi for an amazing safe and loving environment. This home is a paradise for a large family to just stop and enjoy each other and the life around us
Southern Utah Gem
We stayed at Harmony Haven June 10th-June 15th, 2017. Jan and Kendall were wonderful hosts and so kind and warm. Our kids loved all of the animals and for several of them (we had 5 kids)it was the highlight of the entire trip and we did many amazing things during our 13 day NP Utah adventure. The house is just so unique and you would need a month or longer to explore all it truly has to offer. My expectations were high coming in with the wonderful reviews and photos, it exceeded mine and the group was truly blown away. The house layout is a solid plan, open concept, plenty of room, and easily handled 4 adults and 5 kids around the large dining table. They have a wide array of movies and games for the kids which we enjoyed. We played Apples to Apples two of the nights and we enjoyed that. The internet connection also was good for all during our stay.
Zion is just under an hour to the South entrance but the drive is easy and didn't seem that long. We also went over the pass one day and came in from the west entrance, beautiful drive. (Took a couple of hours). We enjoyed the Narrows, Angels Landing, Observation Point, and several other shorter hikes in the park. We also took advantage of the Kolob Canyon piece of the park being so close and did the 2 mile RT hike at the top of the mountain. I highly recommend this short hike, beautiful views. Wish we would of had enough time for Taylor's Creek and Kanarra Falls hikes, maybe next time, as they are within 15 minutes of the house and get rave reviews. We just ran out of time.
Gas station is close to house, at the interstate exit less than 10 minutes. Cedar City is within 30 minutes of the house for a Walmart and other larger stores/restaurants which was handy.
We ate mostly in and all necessary cooking items were available, super functional kitchen.
We did eat at Jacks Sports Bar & Grill in Springdale, it was good quality food. I give it a 4 out of 5 star rating, big portions. Pretty good service too. We also had lunch at Zion Canyon Brewery, it was okay. A little pricey, food was good, and service was average. 6.5 out of 10.0.
I would highly recommend Narrows hike and make sure to rent the proper gear. The shoes, socks, and stick are critical. $25 a person during summer.
In summary, the house was the standout for the kids especially in a wonderful Zion oriented stay. Our kids ranged from 9-15. Enjoyed playing air hockey, ping pong, and foosball in the barn too! Thank you!
Better than pictured.
Came with a group to hike to the Kolob arch. The accommodations were better than expected. The ability to cook for a large group and connect with them while doing so was awesome. More than enough bedding for our group of 10, with sheets, towels, soap shampoo etc. The view off the back deck while sitting in the hot tub is impossible to put into words. The kids had a great time in the party barn, and meeting all the animals. Plenty of room to run around on the property, tons of fun.
Excellent get a way!
Our group has been coming to this property for the past 3 years and every time it impresses! Views are amazing and the fireplaces are the best!
We rented the property for a family vacation and a 50th celebration. This place is fantastic in every way! From the property, to the cabin, to the friendly understanding owners, this place deserves more than 5 stars. It's everything we had hoped for, and much more. The place is clean, beautiful, and they have thought of everything. There is so much to do if you love the outdoors, and the deck is amazing to just relax. The space is great inside as well, with endless entertaining possibilities.
The owners of the property were terrific, not hovering or bothering us at any time during our stay, but completely available when we had a question or need. The house is LOADED with amenities, and a fully stocked kitchen to cook meals(other than food). I just cant say enough, the place is exactly as described, and a truly special place.
The fishing pond is awesome as well, I feel I would regret not mentioning it for those who enjoy fishing. Just being near the water under the shade trees, sitting on the picnic bench visiting with family while fishing was so enjoyable. We cant wait to book again, we feel lucky to have found such a place to enjoy and hope they continue to rent it as we will definately be back.
While strategizing for a future getaway I realized I had not raved about a previous visit to the ranch, so here is a too-long overdue review from last winter..My family spent 5 nights at the ranch last December and simply-put had a time that exceeded all of our expectations! Besides a beautiful setting, the owners have stocked the home with pretty much everything you might need . Waking-up to a sunrise over the Kolob Fingers..Mule Deer and wild turkey roaming the fields...walking the property through an unexpected snowstorm ....playing pool under propane heaters in the frozen barn,,..warm nights in front of the beautiful rock fireplace..and all within 40-60 minutes of Zion, Brianhead, Duck Creek and thus hiking, skiing , snowmobiling , car touring etc. Not even the colder than-normal weather we Southern Californians encountered during our stay could take away from our enjoyment of the perfect totality of amenities both inside and out at this great and welcoming destination . A great family destination!
Private Fishing Pond stocked with Rainbow Trout, Domestic and Wild animals.
