Nestled high atop the picturesque Sugar Mountain, this beautiful 4-bedroom home captures the charm and beauty of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. From the moment you arrive, you'll be captivated by the stunning views of Grandfather Mountain, a majestic backdrop that enhances the charm of this mountain retreat.

The main living area features a cozy gas fireplace, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family gatherings and relaxation. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living room to a modern kitchen and dining area, making it ideal for both entertaining and everyday living. There is ample seating at the large dining table, plus extra seats at the island! The expansive deck can be accessed from the dining room, which again features stunning mountain views, along with a gas fire table and several more seating options making dining outdoors a breeze! The sauna is also accessed from outside off of the main level deck (to the left side of the house), where you can relax and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of dry heat. Perfect way to wind down after an exhilarating day skiing, snowboarding, biking or hiking!

There are two bedrooms on the main level, one furnished with a queen bed, the other furnished with a full. These bedrooms will share a hallway bathroom. The spacious mater suite is located upstairs and features a king bed, TV, and ensuite bathroom with double vanities, a soaking tub, and tiled shower. Head downstairs to the lowest level of the home to find one last bedroom furnished with a full and twin bed, along with a game room complete with a ping-pong table, a wood-burning stove, TV, another card table, as well as a wet bar! Guests can access the lower deck from the game room, which also features great seating options. Enjoy your morning coffee or an evening glass of wine while taking in the panoramic views that make this location truly special.

With its unbeatable location, family-friendly amenities, and awe-inspiring views, this Sugar Mountain home is a perfect sanctuary for those seeking a peaceful mountain lifestyle. When staying at Sunrise with Grandfather, guests can take advantage of the ski shuttle pick up location that a short walk away (50 yards or less) making it convenient for groups of families and friends to plan their activities. When it's time to head to town for breakfast, lunch or dinner, you'll find yourself less than 10 minutes to the downtown Banner Elk area. Boone and Blowing Rock are only 30-35 minutes away. Other "must see" spots include Banner Elk or Grandfather Wineries (both approx 15 minutes away), the Mile High Swinging Bridge, loads of infamous hiking trails, Wildcat Lake, and so much more!

IMPORTANT NOTES:
CANCELLATION POLICY - Bookings canceled 30+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit. Bookings canceled between 15-29 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit. Bookings canceled within 14 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest. All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
- We are pet friendly! We welcome two mature well trained dog for your stay! Pet rent is $25+tax per night.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- The main roads are plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are required November-March, and chains may also be necessary to access all properties in winter months.
- Check in is after 4pm and Check out is by 10am EST
- Home has paved parking with space for six standard vehicles.
- Firewood for the outdoor fire pit may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a fire starter for $25 plus tax.
- Towels and linens will be provided for you.
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- This property has three exterior security cameras. #1 is on the front of the garage facing the driveway. #2 is on the side of the garage facing the front door of the home. #3 is on the upper back deck facing the lower driveway. No camera is pointed toward the interior of the home or common gathering areas.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
