Why owner chose Paris Arr. 6 (Latin Quarter, St. Germain)

We've always lived in this great area.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This place is fabulous. I'd describe it as "funky chic;" I've lived in Paris and this is the BEST, absolutely the BEST location right in the heart of St. Germain. Walk to breakfast at the Flore; walk to lunch at Lipp or the Comptoir. The apartment is TOTALLY quiet, a respite from Paris after a day spent bustling around. The Marche du Buci is steps away for everything from croissants to organic vegetables to exotic cheeses; you will never have to take a cab except if it's raining and you want to go somewhere on the right bank. The apartment is PARISIAN through and through -- not Americanized in any way, by that I mean, the kitchen is small with a little fridge and a convection oven/microwave, and the bathroom is smallish, though with a tub. Other than that, it's divine and it totally grows on you with the garden, which you can access from the downstairs bedroom, and a wall of windows looking out on trees and sky, and a quaint 18th century cobblestone courtyard. It's a great place. I would not stay anywhere else in Paris.

Quiet, charming flat in a fabulous location!

  • 5 of 5

This flat was absolutely perfect. There were four of us - our 2 teen girls stayed downstairs where the beds were separate and we stayed upstairs. The small kitchen and bath had everything we needed - a French press coffee maker, a few knives and dishes and utensils, and a combination washer/dryer with soap pellets to use just in case. There's also a Nestle coffee maker but we prefer the real deal. The courtyard is charming but the weather was too chilly to enjoy it. The location is great with a market, fruit stand, cheese stand, and many bakeries, cafes, and restaurants nearby. (Shopping in the neighborhood is very high end.) If you need privacy, this may not be the best place, but our bed was comfy. The WiFi was great for all of us, but even our video-watching teens. We walked everywhere, but the flat is 10-15 min from the Louvre, D'Orsay, or Ile de la Cite. Rodin Musee is about 20 min and Eiffel Tower about 30-40 minute walk, but quite lovely. RER is 15 min, and 3 metro stops are within 5 min walks. We hope to come back someday!

Great location, comfortable and quiet

  • 5 of 5

The location was absolutely fabulous for being able to walk everywhere we wanted to visit while in Paris. Yet, while being in the heart of the city, it was surprisingly quiet. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The decor was lovely and the furniture was comfortable for relaxing. The kitchen had all the basics we needed. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. We would absolutely recommend this property to any of our friends and family who might be looking for a place to stay while in Paris, whether they want the perfect central location or for a private, quiet and comfortable place to relax.

Absolutely Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Having travelled to Paris 15 years ago, we wanted to rent an apartment again since our two teenage daughters were joining us. The apartment's location was perfect, with shops and cafes right around the corner. Paul's became our favorite morning stop for cafe and croissants! Everything is so close yet the apartment was so quiet and peaceful. The pictures and description are very accurate and you really have everything you need. The girls were thrilled to have their own space downstairs especially since the room can be made up with two twin beds. We all had plenty of room. The owners and management agency were wonderful to work with. This place is a gem and hopefully our travels will bring us back to Paris one day and we can stay here once again!

A little gem in the best part of Paris!!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed at this beautiful little apartment with my three grown nieces who had never been to Paris. It couldn't have been more perfect or ideally situated. They were in heaven! It comfortably sleeps 4, with an upstairs and downstairs so you have space to spread out a bit. It is so quiet you wouldn't know you were in the heart of the city. Plus the charming interior garden with a view of the sky is such a plus. You can walk to Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, great shopping and restaurants without needing the metro or a cab. I know Paris very well, and in my opinion this is the most perfect location. The owner, Julie, was a dream to deal as well as her on-site contact, Raffaella. I wouldn't hesitate to come back to this charming property!

Perfect Paris Traveler's Abode!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay on Rue Jacob was absolutely marvelous! The apartment was just darling! What a location. Perfect for my husband and I and having the bottom floor bedroom area for our adult son was just the best! It was so fun to be in the most charming neighborhood, to go out to the shop owners to get morning fare, flowers, poke around. It was what made our Paris trip! We will all have such fabulous memories of our home in St. Germain! I hope we can go back again someday.

Thank you for everything. Your abode is most special.

Listing description: very accurate

The place was well-maintained, clean. Lovely contact person who let us in and gave us the briefing, explanations, etc.

I would without hesitation recommend this property!

Everything so close by was marvelous -- all of the little shops, cafes, boulangeries, markets...book stores, galleries. A real slice of life making you feel like a Parisian resident! A fairytale stay.

A beautiful respite in the heart of Paris!

  • 5 of 5

My husband Tony and I came to Paris for my 60th birthday. Staying at this beautiful apartment enhanced our 8 day visit to Paris. I have a niece who stayed here with her husband and in-laws a few years back. Booking and setting everything up with Julie was as easy as it gets. We were met at the apartment by Raffaella who showed us around and answered our questions. The place is so conveniently located to grocery markets, restaurants, wine stores, metro stops, and cute boutiques. We loved the St.Germain area and the very close Latin Quarter. The flat is exactly as it is described. If I could post pictures you would see that this is for real. It is also one of the quietest flats we have ever stayed in!! The only sound we hear was a cute little bird building a small nest in the ivy on the court yard wall.

We went to such great restaurants right around the corner. The "Fish La Boissonnerie" became one our favorites. If you yelp, look for my write ups (Ann S. ). There are 2 beds in this flat and my husband and I preferred the one down stairs ( darker and slightly cooler) we had the windows open because the weather was gorgeous! I loved every little thing about this flat and will stay here again.
