About this property

Margaux · 1967 Airstream · Garden Glamping · PDX

Margaux is a lovingly preserved 1967 Airstream Bambi tucked away in our private garden in SE Portland's Foster-Powell neighborhood. This is a quiet, nostalgic retreat for guests who want to slow down, unplug, and experience something a little different.

If you love the idea of camping but appreciate a few creature comforts, this is your kind of place.

Please Read Before Booking:

Size & Layout: Margaux is a vintage trailer with a compact interior (~16ft x 8ft). This is an intentionally intimate space, perfect for 1–2 guests who enjoy a snug, cabin-like feel. If you need lots of room to spread out, this may not be the right fit.

Bathroom: The bathroom is a compact, camping-style setup with a propane-heated handheld shower. The shower area is open (not enclosed), making it better suited for a quick rinse than a long soak. If a full enclosed shower is important to you, please take note.

Pets: We share the property and garden with our friendly dogs and an indoor/outdoor cat. Our two Puggles can be a bit vocal when guests arrive but it’s purely excitement. They LOVE guests and are obnoxiously friendly. If you have allergies or are uncomfortable around animals, please keep this in mind while booking.

Noise: We're in an active, popular Portland neighborhood. The garden is a genuine retreat, but normal city sounds are part of the experience.

The Space
The interior is a fully functional vintage trailer setup with everything you need for a comfortable short stay: a double pull-out bed with fresh linens, a gas kitchenette with a range, sink, and mini-fridge, a compact bathroom with handheld shower, WiFi, heating and cooling, and electricity throughout.

Outdoor Living
The outdoor space is really the heart of the experience. You'll have full access to our private garden, a year-round hot tub, and a firepit. Please note: firewood is not provided — Mt. Scott Fuel is within walking distance, or grab a bundle at Safeway or New Seasons on Woodstock Blvd.

The Neighborhood
Foster-Powell is one of SE Portland's most vibrant and walkable neighborhoods. Trader Joe's, New Seasons, Safeway, and Fred Meyer are all nearby. For dining, don't miss The Mercado, Off the Griddle, Pizzeria Otto, Bar Carlo, and Street Disco. Coffee at Carnelian Roasters or Henry Higgins is a must.

• Hot tub available 24/7 — quiet hours and low voices after 10 PM; bathing suits required at all times

• Bring your own firewood for the firepit

• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside Margaux; permitted outdoors on the deck using the provided ashtray

• Street parking is plentiful — please don't block our driveway or the neighbors'

• Guests must be 18+ (children 13+ welcome when accompanied by an adult)

• Only guests listed on the booking may use the property. If you would like a friend over to use the hot tub, we request a $10 amenity fee.

About the host

Hi, I'm Kayla! I'm an interior designer with a deep love for creating spaces that feel unique - not just somewhere to sleep, but somewhere that stays with you. Margaux is my way of sharing that passion with fellow travelers. Whether you're here solo or with someone you love, she's a place to exhale, slow down, and feel at peace.

Why they chose this property

Portland has seen a lot of changes over the years but our neighborhood has somehow managed to hold onto that old Portland charm. When they say, "the dream of the 90's is alive in Portland", they're talking about Foster-Powell! We're highly walkable and close by to all the fun that this city offers.

What makes this property unique

Margaux asks guests to step back, slow down, and disconnect so that they can reconnect. This space isn't for someone looking for the highest tech or frills of a Hilton Hotel. This space is those who want to step into something with more intention and personality. This is for the artists, travelers, wanderlusts, and free spirits.
