The condo was very clean and everything we needed was provided. Kitchen was well stocked. We have been to The Tides before, renting different units. We enjoyed that this condo is on the first floor. It was easy to get to the pool and beach, without the elevator. Steps to beach. The owner has nothing to do with check-in process for the condo complex. You need to deal with the complex management and they are understaffed. You must check in very early to get your FOB, the line can be very long. I arrived 10 min before opening and I was 5th in line. It can be a hassle. The complex is very family friendly and all staff was helpful and polite.

This was my first AND LAST VRBO experience.When I booked on Feb 3 I told that to the host. My arrival date was March 3. On March 2 I notified VRBO that I had not received check in instructions. After several calls from you the host sent instructions. They failed to specify that check in was in a different building.The unit was on the ground floor. I noticed that the sliding glass door was cracked and messaged the host. She replied they were going to replace the door but failed to mention that the door lock was not functioning. The door was held shut by a pipe/tube and a brick. When I expressed my concern it took a day to get an obnoxious response. The WI-FI password provided by the host was incorrect.I asked about the laundry and was told there were instructions but there were none. I reported this to your representative Vikram who issued a 120 credit for Expedia etc Truthfully that is insulting based on your commercials that you take care of your guests.

Great apartment in a great location!

This is not our first time on The Tides, but this is by far the best apartment we rented. People related to the host attends our request promptly, they are very nice people!. We asked to change the beach chairs one day, and the next day we have the new chairs in our apartment. I really appreciate it!

Nice Condo!

The outdoor spaces at the Tides were very nice and well kept. The common spaces inside were kept clean and nice for an older building. All the people that worked there were polite and courteous. The condominium is older, but ours was clean and had almost everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay! (Just a note: the Hollywood Broadwalk is not "steps away", it's about a mile and a half to where it begins. Not a problem for us because we had bicycles, but for others thinking they could walk outside and be at the Broadwalk, it's misleading.)

Great Pool and gym, very convenient

We enjoyed our stay! Super convenient building right on a nice, long, sandy beach. Gorgeous, large pool with door going right out to beach. Large and well-equipped exercise room. Building gives just one fob key per two adults, which is somewhat inconvenient if one person wants to go out and do something (fobs are needed to enter, exit, and move throughout the complex, which is great for security but inconvenient if you have to share one). The first floor unit is really convenient. Well-equipped kitchen, very dark (with curtains closed) bedroom great for those (including kids) who might sleep better in darkness. We had a 4 year old and had a great time. Pablo was very helpful. Building is also close (5 minute drive) to all the stores or services you might need — grocery stores, pharmacies, urgent care, Walmart, restaurants, etc.

Terrible!

All cookware, especially frying pans, were incredibly dirty and rusty. Only one cook pot, large. I had to ask properly manager to buy new set of cookware. All beach chairs are old and rusty, some can't be used. Beach umbrella was dirty, rusty and couldn't be used. Nothing in that apartment is new. No towels sets, just a bath towels, no hand or face towels. Electrical range compartment for bakeware is filsy. Microwave isn't working properly. Bedroom closet has a leakage stains, on ceiling, from the 2nd floor apartment. There's mole on the walls and on the baseboards. The pease of the baseboards, by the bathroom door frame is missing and there's a hole. The bedroom window is incredibly dirty. That apartment can't be rented and shouldn't be rented. If the owners don't want to maintain basic living conditions, they shouldn't rent that place and sell it.

Had few concerns, overall a pleasant experience. Will go back and would recommend to others.

Overall we had a pleasant stay and would like to go back. Carlos is very friendly and a good host (consultant). There were no condiments in the bathroom. As soon as we texted Carlos since he was still in the building provided us the condiments within 10 mins…very quick response. Our concerns were: 1) There was additional charge of $30 for the fob which was not disclosed on the VRBO advertisement. 2) The parking fee went up from $50 on the ad., to $75 on the day of check-in, that was not a good surprise. 3) The check-in process is not easy. Since we reached around 5pm after office closed we had to go in the office to check-in the next day morning only to find a long line and wait. There was a $20 cash deposit for the car tag and that was refundable only after standing in the long line to return the fob in the office to get the $20 cash back. Check-out process was not easy and quick. 4) we stayed for 7 nights but only started to use the umbrella on the 5th or the 6th day and found that it was very old, torn, dirty, rusted and broken. We tried to use it anyway but it was falling off so could not really use it. What good is a beach stay without a functioning umbrella right!! By the time we told Carlos about it it was too late and it was our time to leave. He said if only we mentioned to him earlier he would’ve helped…I agree, but at least they’ll fix it for the next renters. ——————————————————————— Since it’s on the ground floor, did not have ocean view.

Great location, unit needs attention

Was a clean unit, nice location, great access to pool, beach and grocery shopping. Waiting in line nearly an hour for check-in, which people said is not atypical. Were disappointed the unit it wasn’t well stocked. No cooler or umbrella as described. The beach chairs are very small and in rough shape. There were no hand towels or wash clothes for kitchen or bathroom, no food storage containers for leftovers, no sharp knives for food prep. The dishwasher had an beep/alarm that went off every 20-30 seconds our entire stay, and the microwave ran constantly unless the door was left open, which meant light (and noise) came from the kitchen constantly and made it hard for person sleeping in living room to rest well.

My kids and I had a great time and the accommodations were exactly as advertised. It was nice to be within walking distance of both the ocean and pool. My kids had a great time. We would stay there again.

Great short weekend

Nice weekend with the family. Parking was a bit confusing the valet told us one thing and then the front desk told us something very different as far as pricing was concerned. That was the only complaint. Aside from that we really enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Perfect beach vacation for our family with small children

Unit itself is nicely updated and we liked having the patio instead of balcony as we could get groceries / luggage easy plus could let the kids play outside and look for lizards without worrying about a railing. The unit is very convenient to pool and beach and it was really perfect for our needs. Pablo was very easy to work with and helpful throughout our trip. We would definitely recommend this Property!

Great location, easy access to beach and apartment had all we needed

Location was great, right on the beach. Easy access to the beach and pool. We only used the pool once. Weight room is awesome but I was too lazy to use it! Pro/con on the apartment location is first floor (pro) but patio looks at parking lot (but a wall obscures most of it), so you don't see the ocean from your room BUT we unloaded and loaded the car and groceries by passing over the wall, super convenient!! I still sat on the chairs and enjoyed my coffee smelling the ocean air and we had these medium sized black/orange crabs visit us - hole close to the palm trees. Apartment is close to the beach and pool access and the food place. I would definitely stay again. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. We ate in most meals in the apartment. Super large walk in closet, two large TV's. Ate at the food place once and it was good - my favorite kind of French fries! Convienent to shops and food places. The agent, Pablo, was very helpful and accommodating when we checked in and we had no issues.

Great location - right on the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay at this Tides apartment on Hollywood Beach. We were met by Pablo who was very friendly and accommodating. The apartment was stocked with everything we needed including a cooler and lawn chairs. Plenty of towels, fully equipped kitchen, etc. LARGE flat screen TV's in the living room and bedroom. The Tides complex is very secure. You need a car tag to open the cross arm on the entry way. You need a FOB to get into the building or even onto the property from the parking lot or beach. The apartment is on the first floor and you just walk down the hall about 50 feet to the back door that opens into a beautifully landscaped, large pool area. The gate to the beach is right off the pool area. SO convenient! The location was great, too. Just a little west of busy Hallendale Beach Road - made a trip to the Hollywood Boardwalk or Fort Lauderdale a short drive. You're also close to restaurants and businesses on Hallendale and the Aventura mall (a HUGE mall which is only about 15 minutes away). We will definitely keep the information on this property for a return trip.

La verdad que la propiedad contaba con todo lo q decía y más. Muy prolijo todo y muy lindo apartamento. Pablo Rojas nos espero a la hora que llegamos y se comportó 10 puntos. Todo lo que necesitaba el me lo solucionaba. Volvería devuelta sin prensarlo. Ubicación excelente Frente a la playa. Piscina muy buena La verdad que todo buenísimo.

Great place

Great Place, excellent location. Big apartment, enough space for even 6 people. Especially THANK YOU to Pablo, who answered all our calls immideatly. Many restaurants around, close to public transportation. The property was cleaned and well maintained. One disadvantage- for 3 people we got only 1 key and when we asked for more keys to get to swimming pool, beach or fitness- we supposed to buy it from the building management Will reccomend this property and will stay there again
